This very rare and much sought after tax exempt Circa 1970 American Eagle F3 175 (AKA the Kawasaki F3 175 Bushwhacker) has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 8397 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is not complete nor is it quite standard. The rear mudguard & tail light assy are wrong. Sadly the kick starter shaft is broken & the electric start button is missing from the r/h switch cluster & a modified start button added on the l/h side which does work. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is every bit as nice as it looks here. The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims. good hubs & brake plates. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Front mudguard issolid & very tidy. Headlight & hangers are very nice. Speedometer looks great. Carburetor is free sliding off the twist grip. Exhaust is original & solid. Seat base is in very good condition throughout. The engine is cosmetically quite clean – When we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it a few squirts of ether it fires & tries to run but the carb does need cleaning. The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We HAVE NOT got the Certificate of Title but we will provide proof that VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT’d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture in writing. Phone Kawasaki UKs customer services on 01628 856643 with the frame & engine Numbers. /p>

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you ?55 for the 1st registration & the current amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
