Description

This is the very reluctant listing for my KAWASAKI ZZR600-E6 motorcycle. it is a T-reg/1999 model. i am selling as i want to go back to the Ninja side of the family again. either a 9R or a 6R as they are more my style. this has been a great bike and i have used this through the worst months of 2014. 3 or 4 re-occurring lower leg injuries have helped me miss out on the best months when i should have been on the bike all the time. no chance when i could just about walk???.   The bike is ideal for the shorter riders. i am 5ft10" and have a 30" inside leg and can get both feet flat on the floor and i would prefer a little more of a higher seat position to be honest.    The bike had Kmh clocks on it when i bought it as one of the previous owners used the bike going back and forth to Europe (poss Squaddie i decided and was told it was not an import model).   I could not get on with the dim Kmh clocks as the Mph marker points were unreadable in the dark hours and at speed?. making it dangerous as i was spending more time looking at the clocks than the road ahead. so i translated the KMH into real World MPH and bought some 2nd hand ones off Ebay with just over the correct mileage. perfect replacements. no problems now riding in the dark hours or wondering if i am actually speeding or not?.    The Bike had a dent in the tank. so i filled it in and resprayed it. all my years of spraying experience and it never went right. i resprayed it again and again. it always appeared to be a more satin black than high gloss black. i just gave up trying and thats why i said it looks "scruffy" but perfectly liveable and looks ok from a distance?.   The Clutch cable has just been replaced as the old one i think was close to its end. it pulls better now aswell. the rear wheel bearing(s) have been replaced (july/aug 2014) the front brake calipers were swapped about 7 months ago from an older ZZR600 but are the same spec as the original ones. which had seized up except for one piston (one out of eight working. on a bike i know can do at least 120mph). they all work as they should now.   The tyres need replacing now. or as soon as really and not ideal for this time of the year with all the water around. if i was keeping the bike then i would sort out straight away really!. there are some Oxford heated handgrips fitted and i know they work really well because of Feb/Mar 2014 and having no car?. the screen is a high clear tourer deflecting one that reduces riders head buffetting. there is also a 12v socket in the little compartment that is ideal for a sat nav. charger etc.   It has the last of the paper Tax discs so that will go with the bike. i think thats about 8 months left on that. the MoT is due about August time aswell.   Needs to be used more than i have used it really as keeps everything freely moving. brakes get a bit sticky when left for ages but free up once on the move again. it has always been dry stored (once i am home or arrive at work).    Happy to keep using untill it sells. it will be sold as a "Sold as Seen". but i am honest and have mentioned the only things that i know are crucial and essential . the tyres!!!.    Any questions  - please ask. i will not allow test rides untill it is sold to the person. if its decided its not ideal. walk away. then i will just possibly relist it again.

Please NO timewasters. i Do and will report them to Ebay. Please remember the simple Ebay rules. YOU BID - YOU BUY !!!

Viewings can be arranged and i could even travel over or meet you somewhere so you can see it. Time and Day depends on my working rosta though?
