Description

This 72 H2 will come to you as you see it. The motor is not seized. The kick starter has a weak spring or the mechanism is broke. Either way it needs repaired although it does function to kick over the motor and it returns weak. . . The bike rolls fine and the transmission appears to be fine as it shifts through all five. This bike was set up as a cafe racer and the shifter is apparently reversed for shifting in the laying down position but the shift linkage is not there . The conversion bracket remains for the left side. Bolted on and not welded. The seat pan is self explanatory with the pics. Rusty but it looks to be a usable seat pan. The seat assembly brand new is cheap to replace with a fine reproduction available here on e-bay. I have never ridden or started this bike. No broken or bent fins on the heads and zero broken or bent fins on the jugs. There is 140 compression across the board on all three cylinders. The Throttle cable or one or more of the carb slides is stuck. I do not have a box of parts to go with this bike but i do have the Grab Rail. oil pump. and the plastic oil tank i got with the bike will go to the new owner as well. The front and rear wheels appear to be the original Takasako wheels with very little surface rust on the front and very little on the rear. These wheels will clean up nice as they are. I have not bothered to bathe this bike. The carbs are whole and on the bike. They are original and correct to this bike. I don't know the brand of expansion chambers on this bike but they are solid with the baffles intact. No rusted through spots anywhere surface rust only on the pipes. The right side has one dented pipe that can be fixed if one knows how. There are no holes that i see on these pipes and a coat of paint would do them justice. Use the magnification device provided and check out the actual kick start lever and boss. No rust and The sweet non peeling original brilliant chrome is looking good. The inside of the gas tank looks spotless. There is a lot of new looking steel when i opened the lid to the gas cap. Down in the corners there may be some surface rust but you can't see it with the human eye and it is further proof to me this bike was kept inside for years. The bike is actually a really great base for an H2 build/restoration. The stator/charging unit is intact on this engine and the cdi boxes appear to be here as well. None of this stuff has been or will be tested by me. The inner fork tubes are clean. A little surface rust if you look but no pitting. The wheels are really just dirty after a second look. There are a couple spokes on the front and rear that are just starting to rust a little on the surface. The carbs were tapped up over the intake . Someone had plans for this bike. It was stored indoors which is evident by a close look at the gauges and the color they still maintain is quite brilliant in contrast to older sun exposed gauges. The vibration damper is here and intact on the bike. The front brake system appears to be here. Everything should be rebuilt but the the master cylinder and caliper as well the distribution valve  is on the bike and functions. The head light bucket on the bike is held there by tie wire but needs replaced with a new front bucket and headlight assembly. The fork ears need to be gone as well. This bike comes with a bill of sale. I can get a title for this bike and if someone wants this done it will be 225. 00 for a title to come to you. It will be a Florida title. The title is not part of this sale so please read and make sure you understand it cost extra for this title. Takes me a half day to have the bike inspected and cleared for a title and it is charged to you as it is charged to me with a receipt furnished to you. I am not charging for my time spent acquiring a title. This is being offered as a courtesy only. The frame and engine were born together and remain this way Today . H2F 224xx-- and the engine number is h2E 226xx. Any questions or desires for more pics will be responded to post  haste!! Thank you all for looking !!
