1998 Kawasaki Ninja EX 250R

We originally purchased and titled this bike intending to re-build it for my son.   He and I worked on it together off and on for a long time and had a great time doing it. but ultimately we decided to buy him a new bike for his birthday.   Therefore. we have decided to sell this one.   When we originally purchased this bike. the engine was blown. so we replaced it with a 2008 engine.   We still have the original engine. which can be used as a spare parts engine or be re-built.   The 2008 engine has a 2 into 1 exhaust. but we do still have the original exhaust. which is a separate dual exhaust.   The bike starts. runs well. and drives well. and the engine runs smooth and sounds good.   This would be a great bike to learn to ride on without having to worry too much about dropping the bike.    The tires would be fine for initial training. but I would recommend replacing them soon.   Everything functions on the bike.   The left side blinker works. but needs to be re-attached.   The bike has a center stand as well as a side stand.   The center stand. although usable. really needs a stronger spring.   The side stand. also very usable. does need to have the bracket re-welded on one of its two bolts.   We also have many miscellaneous spare parts that would go with the bike.   Whoever purchases the bike will need to bring the tag up to date.   It was last tagged in August of 2013.   On this bike. this should not be a great expense.   The bike is in fairly good condition. but still needs a little work to bring it up to excellent condition.   It would be a great project bike. perhaps for a father and son as it was for us.   I hope whoever buys the bike has as much fun with it as we have.   *Please note that Ebay requires an exact mileage be entered in order to list the ad. so I used the mileage shown on the odometer.   However. truthfully. with the change out in engines. I really don't know for sure what the actual mileage is on the bike. *Please be aware that I will NOT ship this bike.   If you buy this bike. you will need to make arrangements to pick it up in person.   The listing may say otherwise in the shipping area of the ad. but that's only because Ebay gives me no way to exclude shipping as an option.   As I said though. shipping is definitely NOT an option for this bike.   It must be picked up in person.
