Hi this is the auction for my first "big bike" I bought after passing my test a year ago.
I bought it cheap needing a clutch . wrong!!!!!
It ended up being limped to my instructors house and having :-
a clutch (cork and metal plates)
New wheel bearings front and rear
Cush drive bearing
Brake pads (2x front sets and a rear)
Plugs . motul oil. filter
2x Pirelli diablo rosso 2 tyres
I have all the receipts for al the parts !!!
When we put it all together it also needed a clutch release arm which came from Kawasaki!
I rode it home and decided to nip up the rocker gasket.
I snapped a bolt in the head so off it went to a mechanic who did that . fitted a new rocker gasket. new plug gaskets and new motul oil (in case of contamination!) he also cleaned and balanced the carbs - they need doing PROPERLY as I did a better job of balancing them ( 50 quid or you can youtube home carb balancing)
since then I have done 1000 miles and it passed the mot with one advisory that the front mud guard was loose ( its done !)
It has served its purpose to me and I hope someone else can use it as I did to gain experience ( without spending the money I have!)
it has a 4 into 1 exhaust with a "custom can" as I got some guy to weld me a shortened steel tube and I fitted the cut down baffles and my end parts ( don't look the prettiest but sounds good)
It has mot till july 4th this year
12v socket fitted
It has the original red key
Theres a spare cdi unit
Have all the mots since 2010
bonny blue lights over the back wheel (dont worry they have a switch!)
Starts first time and when warmed up is nippy and goes well and stops well.
it is now de restricted as when I got it it wouldn't rev past 10k but as per a zzr forum I fitted a resistor.
It aint the bonniest bike the fairings are split and cracked in lots of various places. there is tape on various lenses( passed mot ok though!) the passenger mirror is missing. the seat must be ripped as it was taped up like that when I bought it.
I didn't replace the spark plug leads/caps and they could probably do with replacing
the clocks show 82k BUT they aren't the originals as it would have been in kilometres and the clocks been changed for miles an hour ones.
it really is rough and ready and 23 yrs old but at 100 per year to insure it has done what I have wanted and now I want something a bit bigger (I am 6'3" and 19 stone )
its basically ready for someone without a mega budget who has maybe just passed their test to buy and get some experience on!!!
IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!
Please don't p*ss me about!
I aint posting it to abu dabi as a present to your husband
I aint swapping for a camel or massive cheque
I have no interest in another wife !!!!!!!
I wont keep it till you save up your paper round money.
BASICALLY - you win. you pay me in good old sterling currency ( Scottish money accepted lol)
I can pick you up from Newcastle train station (morpeth is closer) or I may even be persuaded to give you a lift if you live in Northumberland!
I expect contact within 12hrs of auction ending and payment /collection by sunday night UNLESS AGREED WITH ME BEFORE YOU BID!!!
speaking of which if you wish to bid you must have 10+ feedback or contact me BEFORE BIDDING with a phone number so I can check you are genuine (or I can and will remove your bid . block you and call you names in public!!!)
Viewing welcome . test rides also welcome but you put ?300 in my hand first (not necessarily what I want for the bike but the first key I hit when typing!!)
