With limitless possibilities the KTM FREERIDE E is an almost silent off-road motorcycle that is exceptionally easy to ride. lightweight. agile and powerful. E-MOTORA revolutionary new brushless permanent magnet synchronous electric motor delivers 16 kW (21. hp) of peak power with 42 Nm of torque. placing it in competitive range of similar sized combustion engine driven motorcycles. The high powered Engine Control Unit (ECU) is the FREERIDE E engine’s "brain". A water cooled ECU ensures instant yet usable power delivery in all riding conditions. Radiators ensure the electric motor casings and ECU are kept cool. ensuring optimal performance for your entire ride. BATTERYThe KTM PowerPack – a die-cast aluminium casing houses 360 lithium ion battery cells and the BMS (Battery Management System). There’s enough juice for about one hour of riding (dependant on riding style and terrain type). Just flip up the seat and loosen four bolts to swap out a depleted ‘Power Pack’ with a charged unit. BODYWORKSleek and minimal bodywork - a perfect fit between rider and motorcycle for exceptional control and ease of movement. A long. slim seat allows unrestricted freedom of movement and excellent comfort. The seat of the FREERIDE E-XC model has slightly higher foam at the rear for increased comfort. With a conveniently low seat height of 900 mm. the FREERIDE E aids rider balance and improves control. To further lower the seat height if needed. a KTM PowerParts kit is available that reduces the suspension travel by a further 25mm. SUSPENSIONAs the leading off road motorcycle manufacturer. KTM chooses premium WP suspension for it’s full range of race machines. WP upside down front forks and PDS rear suspension offer 250 mm of travel on the FREERIDE E. Lightweight wheels with high-end anodised aluminium Giant rims are fitted to CNC machined hubs with lightweight aluminium spoke nipples. These ultra-light wheels are hard to beat in terms of weight and still guarantee the best stability and safety. The FREERIDE E’s MAXXIS tyres offer a traction-enhancing mixture of softness and high-quality for excellent grip. SUBFRAMEThe FREERIDE E’s unique frame features a chrome-moly steel top section braced by bolted aluminium profile elements. The lower section is braced by the motor and has an aluminium base plate to deliver optimal stiffness. control and safety – even on jumps!The fibre re-enforced polyamide subframe is incredibly light. yet strong and durable. DISPLAYAll the FREERIDE E’s vital statistics with a simple glance. Speed. battery charge status. and power mode are just some of the many functions that the easy-to-read display provides. FOOTRESTSThe footpeg mounts can be rotated 180 degrees to allow an 8 mm rearward offset position which translates into excellent traction and supreme cornering. The cast footpegs are light and broad for dependable contact with the bike at all times.
