2004 KTM 625 SXC LC4 Street legal dual sport, great condition, many extras

Here for your bidding pleasure is a hard to find 2004 625 SXC in great condition. Street legal 50 state bike on clear California street title. KTM's well known bulletproof LC4 motor in a much smaller and lighter package than the 640 Adventure - only 291 pounds dry. Reliable electric start means no kicking. I'm the second owner. original owner was factory trained KTM mechanic (in his 50's. like me) who put most of the miles on the bike (it had just over 6000 miles when I bought it in 2011. ) I have obviously used it sparingly. and it needs a new home. The bike is in great condition with absolutely no mechanical flaws or shortcomings. and cosmetically is good to excellent with only minor wear and tear. Tires are Pirelli MT 21's. 50% or better wear left. DOT stamped street legal knobbies. Chain and sprockets are good to excellent. Bodywork has typical minor scuffs from off-road forays but no significant damage. and the skid plate. exhaust and rims are amazingly straight and ding-free. The bike is equipped with KTM's great electronic speedometer/trip meter/clock/lap timer combo. along with headlight. horn. and taillight with brake light. To be strictly street legal (at least here in California) it should have turn signals but they can be easily added. The bike comes with a lot of extras. First off is the factory large tank - 4. 5 gallons. along with the matching 'comfort' seat for those long days on the trail or road. Of course the original smaller 2. 3 gallon tank and narrower seat are included as well. shown installed on the bike. Both tanks have petcocks and the swap only takes about 5 minutes. Large tank has locking gas cap with keys. Aluminum saddlebags from MotoSport are also included. in great shape with zippable fabric liners for both bags. Luggage is also lockable and comes with two sets of matched keys. Bags are in great shape with only minor scuffs. no dents or abuse. The original owner added the optional fan kit for those long climbs on hot days. The only work I have done on the bike was having the suspension reworked by racing guru Alan Stillwell of Stillwell Performance. He re-valved and re-sealed the WP forks and rear shock. and also changed out the springs on both ends. The transformation was (and is) nothing short of phenomenal - the bike went form being under-sprung and under-damped to an incredibly well suspended bike. I've only put about 600 miles on the bike since that work was done so it's just as fresh as the day I took it out of his shop. I have the receipt at just over $800. Finally. as you can see in the pictures. the bike comes with spare keys. nbsp;all of the original manuals (owner's. parts. suspension. even the delivery checklist). nd a nice bag of spare filters.
