KTM 690 Enduro R 2011 I am the second owner of this bike. The first owner only managed 500 road miles in its first year before selling it to me. It has now done 5400 miles. the vast majority of which were also on the road taking me to work and back on a daily basis. The bike has been used for some light trail riding a few times. but nothing more extreme than gravel forest tracks. I am selling the bike as I have only managed to use it twice since February this year. mainly because my first child arrived in February. To be honest I love this bike to bits and I always thought it would be a keeper. it is the best motor cycle I have ever owned. a true all rounder. But I really need the space in my garage and I hate looking at it not being used. it deserves to go to a new home were it will be used properly. Service info 16/03/2011 Registered new from P&H Motorcycles Crawley Sussex 03/09/2011 First service at 328 miles with first owner. P&H Motorcycles. detailed receipt and service book stamped. Oil & Filter. 10/02/2012 Change of owner - I bought it. 03/07/2013 Second Service at 4424 miles with me. by Rocket Centre Blackburn. detailed receipt and service book stamped. Oil & Filter. Brake fluid. Valve check (fine) and new spark plug. 22/03/2014 First MOT at 5321 miles KJM Super Bikes Wrightington. Passed no issues. Above are just the official dealer services. nbsp;which i have the receipts for and are stamped in the book. It has also received another 4 oil and filter changes in the time i have owned it. That's 2 genuine KTM paper filters. 2 oil screens + all new seals and using the Motorex cross power 4T recommended oil each time. I first changed it when I bought the bike in Feb 2012 as a precaution as it had been stood a while. It was then changed before the winter approx October 2012. and again in Spring time approx March 2013. I also changed it in early summer 2013. tbh only a couple of weeks before it's proper service at the Rocket Centre above July 2013. The bike comes with enough Motorex oil for another service. and the 2 main filters. It has just had the brake fluid replaced last month by my brother who is a time served mechanic and been looking after motor bikes for 30 years. I have both keys and the original KTM dealer folder bag containing the manual. service book. service receipts. MOT. old tax discs. KTM pen. rear passenger foot pegs (never used) and the parts fiche books. The bike is stock. except for a few bits. I have fitted the Rally Raid upgraded upper and lower rear tank mount bolts. a must have upgrade for these bikes. http://www. rally-raidproducts. co. uk/KTM-690-Enduro-R-SMC/performance-upgrades/ktm-690-subframe-tank-mounting-bolts http://www. rally-raidproducts. co. uk/KTM-690-Enduro-R-SMC/performance-upgrades/ktm-690-lower-tank-bolt-repair-kit The standard long lower rear number plate hanger has been removed. and the number plate now moved up top. the indicators also moved up there. All the original parts come with the bike so it can be put back to normal. I can put this all back if you prefer. Condition The bike is in excellent condition with just a few marks on it from general use. mainly just boot wear marks on the swing arm. frame protectors and clutch case. you can see it in the photos. The tyres are Continental TKC80's and are like brand new having only covered a few hundred miles. They were only put on a bit before the MOT. you can see the bobbles still on the tyres in the photos! I have just fitted a brand new battery this week as the old one was not keeping its charge very well with the bike not being used this year. I have fitted the exact same battery as came standard and have the receipt for it for warranty. It was £69. 99. The bad points 1. The original chain decided to give up the ghost and snapped at 50mph on one of my two little outings this year. It has left a few tiny marks on the under side of the rear mudguard/tank and some on the frame. These are very small and really not noticeable. I replaced the plastic chain guard as that did its job and was damaged. And obviously swopped the chain! 2. The main wiring loom had a cable to the starter switch snap inside it at the end of 2013. under the bars around the head stock area. An easy repair. which was soldered together and a heat shrink applied to it by a qualified auto electrician. 3. The rear orange body panel has some small marks on it at the very top back. mainly from carrying a soft luggage kriega bag to work. and one of the 3 screws that holds it down at the very rear underneath has rounded out in the panels plastic thread so doesn't work. not that you notice or need it TBH. As the rear panel has also been drilled to fit the grab handles. I have bought a brand new still in the packet orange rear panel that can go with the bike if it sells for the price shown. 4. Someone at work thought it would be hilarious to write my name in marker pen on the side panel white number plate sticker. There were two of these bikes at my work at the time. You can see in the photos I cannot get the marker pen fully off. I have tried brake cleaner which faded it and even tried more marker pen. Its also on the front one but thats faded. Nothing a white sticker wouldn't cover. 5. Sump plug had rounded off the thread in the main engine casing. When it went in for its last service they told me the sump plug had knackered the thread in the engine casing. I don't know if this was me from the last home oil change or them during the service. Anyway they inserted a heli coil thread fix and fitted a new size sump plug. Works perfectly and does not leak. although it is now a bright anodised blue sump plug. think he said its from a Yamaha! IMPORTANT IMPORTANT ! The bike had a private number plate on it. which has just been removed. I have the new V5 with the bikes original first reg number on it. When I decided to sell the bike a few weeks back. I gave her a good wash and clean and then took her for the usual drying off run up the road and back. I noticed the speedo wasn't displaying the correct speed. The milage and trip computers work ok but the speedo shows 195mph and upwards when your hardly even moving. Initially i was told by my local dealer that it's probably the instruments unit that needs fixing so I sent it off via my dealer to KTM in Austria. They have now sent it back as it is not faulty. This means there is something wrong with the speed sensor or wiring. When the instruments arrive back at the dealers the bike is going in for them to sort the problem. Hopefully it will be all sorted in a week but obviously that means I can't actually let the bike go until its properly sorted. You can still come and view the bike and I can take a deposit if you want it. Obviously I cannot let the bike go before the speedo is working properly. If you want to buy the bike I will take a holding deposit of £100 in cash or paypal. It has 5 months Tax left on it. but the rules are changing after 1st October I believe. So you will have to tax the bike before riding it away after that date. and I will claim back my existing tax. Payment is cash on collection only. Sorry no Paypal.
