2012 KTM 990 Adventure,Dual Sport,Many Accessories

2012 KTM Adventure,excellent condition used by 66 yr old dirt rider for 2 bucket list trips,one in 2013,one in 2015,each about 3500 miles.Cincinnati OH to NM,AZ,Co,WY,Dakotas to home.650 break in miles and about 1,000 miles light riding in 2014.My joints and ligaments are all pretty bad from 50 yrs. of riding and racing,getting weakerand shorter,just don't have the confidence or strength to handle at slow speeds(0-2mph!) This is a large,tall bike capable of nearly anything on and off road if you are tall and strong enough,unfortunately I am not anymore!This bike will cruise comfortably at any speed desired and perform as well as most 650 dual sports in the dirt.Maybe you are looking for a great bike for such a trip,here it is at a considerable savings.) Oil and filters changed at 680,4500 after 1st trip,and 8600 after 2nd trip.Little if any oil consumption after either trip,same with coolant.Had "0" trouble with bike since I bought it new from CCM,Wilmington,OH in 2012.The bike has never been crashed,twice it fell on top of me at 0 mph resulting in a few scratches on the crash bars,nothing else! Many practical improvements for comfort,utility and protection.From the front,A Cee Bailey windscreen that makes a world of difference on the highway,have stock and Moose shorty screen.Bar riser,set backs,Motion Pro longer throttle cables and Throttle tamer twist grip for milder slow speed stuff valves were checked when I did thi, all within spec,K&N filter,Uni pre-filter also..Euro light switch,you have the choice to turn off lights if battery is getting weak(it's not!)Remote function switch for info panel,KTM dual compound grips.Weld 86 skid plate,CJ side stand relocato, gets off the cases and enables rider to mount like a horse.Frame protectors,crash bar and small tail bag,Happy Trails Cascade aluminum boxes and mounts,narrower but taller and longer fore and aft will hold all you need and are not too obtrusive!Swivel pegs with CJ extenders are comfy and allow you to put feet anywhere for balance.Moose heavy duty hand guard bark busters,spin on fuel lids.All stock parts included.Have a CJ water pump and fuel pump repair kit to carry just in case, Happy Trails water and fuel bottle,Motorex recommended oil always used. Heidenau tires f/r installed 3600 mi ago,look almost new,ready for another 5,000 miles!
