1976 KTM Penton MC5 400cc VMX motocross

Up for Sale is a very rare Penton KTM MC5 400cc motocross bike. I beleive this was the first year for the 400cc motor. Also this first Year for KTM.This bike is in very nice conditon. It would be a great bike to restore. It has a pair of very nice and rare Fox air shocks. The front forks have Air fittings too and they may have a Air kit installed as well. Looks like Jack Penton Handlebars as well.The bike has not run in a few years, ut it ran great then. The motor has great compression, urns over nicely. It goes in and out of gear. Rolls great, rakes work, lutch works. I am sure a good carb cleaning and new air filter and it will be back up and running. I would hold on to this one and restore it, ut I need to move a few Bikes in my garage. What you see is what I have for it. The side number plates are missing.

Bid to win, ecause I have not seen one of these for sale for a long Time. Also one that is not restored that you can actually buy at a fair price. Then restore yourself.

NADA values this bike in Excellent condition at $5100. My reserve is thousands less.

I have the Original MSO that shows who sold it new and that the Frame and motor are Original to the bike from new. That is rare to find the information to find. I really dont know what you could do with the MSO from there.
