2006 KTM 990 SUPERDUKE
This 990 is a recent bankrepossessionthat had been sitting for awhile. When the bike was sold at auction it did not have a key. So it was bought non-running. Since it had no power the auction was unable toverifythe mileage which is required by law. This means the bike was bought TMU (true mileage unknown). The clean PA title will read 7150 miles but have an odometer status as not the actual mileage. I do believe the mileage on the bike 8,330 to be correct. As it is a digital odometer and is in working order. I safety inspected and detailed the bike. Upon inspection I noticed a few things not working properly. I sent the bike to the local KTM dealer to go over and fix any warranty items and anything needed for inspection and safety. The bike has two new tires, ll fluids bleed and replaced, ew battery, ew speed sensor, ew exhaust gaskets, ew fuel lines and new fuel level sensor. The only item not fixed was the low warning light issue. They tried fixing it with the replacement of the level sensor but it did not work.Furthertests point to a problem with the dash(faultycircuit). The dash works fine for everything else except the low fuel light stays on. A new factory dash is about $500. The bike sounds great with the aftermarket exhaust. The only blemish I noticed is the right lower fairing decal is discolored. This is a greatopportunityto buy a 990 on the cheap becauseof a lazy auction not getting a key made. The bike has been on a reliability run and the clutch, ngine and transmission all work and sound as they should.
