"Proof of Life" video of bike taken a few days ago: Proof of Life The KTM 520 EXC-R. KTM's big enduro from 2001 with an electric start standard. It is the ultimate thumper. Perfect on the highway and offroad. It weighs little more than 200lbs dry and has enough travel to tackle just about any obstacle. I built this one to go anywhere. to be a fun dualsport (or "Dual Sport"). rode it a few hundred miles. and now need to sell it. It has been nothing but reliable. runs better now than it ever has. but I need the money. I built it to be a 50/50 bike. It has seen almost all around-town miles from me. never offroad. rarely on the highway. The bike is a beast. Makes a ton of power. It is 100% plated street legal. registered. and has always been insured. I've never dropped it. All plastics are perfect or close to it. The only two pieces that haven't been replaced are the fork guards and front fender. It is as well-behaved as I could want. on and off the highway. It starts right away every time. doesn't overheat. and is nice and smooth at a cruise. The first 3 times I rode it were in the rain-- it'll spin the tire through 4th gear! MONSTER bike. I put a lot of time and energy into this KTM. It really does kill me to sell it. I didn't get my money out of it. not do I plan to. You would be very hard pressed to find a more substantial KTM enduro/dualsport than this one. You certainly can't build one for this price. This bike is really in a class of its own. There really is a lot to list. I'll try to remember everything. here goes. -BRAND new custom built Renazco seat. -BRAND new rear fender. light. signals -BRAND new FMF pipe -BRAND new "Cush Sprocket" for nicer on-road wear -BRAND new throttle position sensor (surprisingly expensive) -BRAND new Ballistic lithium battery w/ charger wiring -Custom wiring in clear casting to improve upon old "Baja" kit -6. 1 gallon Safari Tank up front -1. 5 gallon Baja aux tank on rear -Custom soft saddle bags -3 compartment tank bag -1500 lumen LED aux lights on dimmable and high/low switch -Halogen high/low headlight/fairing -Uprated generator (alternator)/rectifier to run lights and other electronics -Trail Tech Voyager dash/GPS/computer (speed. rpm. water temp. everything works) -Freshly rebuilt carb -Freshly rebuilt fork -Rebuilt clutch slave cylinder -New brake fluid -New clutch fluid -Oil was just changed -Cleaned air filter -New aluminum radiators -New automatic programmable electric cooling fan -Kenda 50/50 tires with about 250miles on them. -Multiple sprocket sets (currently set for highway) -Heavy duty side stand (very strong) I also have most of the parts I removed from the bike. as well as some spares and a custom windshield that was never mounted. Comes with an extra set of wheels and tires. The only parts that seem to be broken/missing are the decompression lever (never needed it) and the steering damper stud (can be re-welded). Everything else seems to be there and in working order. As I said. the bike is near-perfect for anything Mother Nature/zombie apocalypse can throw at you! Feel free to ask me any questions you like. I'll answer them best I can.
