RARE 1981 KTM 495 DIRTBIKE & KTM 420? PARTS BIKE WITH PARTS LOT - WOW!!!!

Up for auction is thisSUPER LOT!!! 1981KTM 495VIN#01124545 MOTOR# 1-560417 & 80/81? KTM 420(I think it is a 420not sure and I am not sureof year either). vin# 00920763 Motor # 05603347 the 420 is a parts bike. this lot comes with all you see. The extra's are:

• 1981 Ktm 250 frame with swing arm with triple clamps
• 1981 Ktm 495 that has been altered rake for dirt track racing needs foot peg area repair
• 81 Ktm seat
• Bing Carb
• box of smallparts see pics
• 1981 Ktm 495 dirt track stylecone pipe/with silencer.

now for the bikes. the 81 Ktm 495 which is super RARE which is also goes down in history as the worlds fastest dirt bike.this motor in the bike was used in the ktm dirt track framethat is included. motor was removed and installed in thisperfect 81 495 frame. project was never finished. motor was last run with a mikuni carborater that is not included with this sale this time(lost in shop for now) however does include original bing carb that should be completely cleaned rebuilt ect... throttle cable should be replaced carb to air box rubber needs to be replaced old one was dry rotted and I still included it. bike is missing original head pipe and silencer, he pipe that is included on the parts bike could be made to fit with good fabrication skills. that left rear fox shock has a cracked spring will need new front tire and tube. various nuts and bolts are missing on frame needs new air filter but has cage with all parts necessary to install new air filter. missing front brake lever and cable.petcock broke off needs to be replaced parts bike petcock should fit I know that gas tank fits. nice new plastic kit including front fender rear fender side panels and front number plate and decals. brand new chain this is a very powerful twin plug 495 motor that has great compression and shifts thru all the gears like it should. good working clutch has not been started in at least 10 years. should have oil changed and bike has never runwith this originalbing carb was just installed for photos. mikuni carb that was used with this motor as a race bike will be given to the winner of this auction I am going to dig for it in my shop this week.

now for the 80/81? ktm 420? parts bike. nice tan, ice head pipe, ewer ktm disc brake set up with nice ktm rim that was used on dirt track race set up. nice dirt track seat, otor needs complete rebuilt great super moto candidate.

please keep in mind these are vintage bikes which are 35 plus years old. that need completion and repair so in my eyes these bike are suited for a buyer that knows older ktms. as I am a big fan of Ktms but no means a expert. please ask question I will do my best to answer all..
