KTM 500MX EVO 1986

Hi. welcome to my sale. This bike started out as a very low hour bike before I began the restoration. I know the previous owner well and the bike has laid dormant for years in a heated garage next to his collection of classic cars!I wanted to get the bike as close as I could to it's original state when it left the factory back in 1986. Please take a look at the various pictures which show the level of restoration this bike has had. It would be well suited to a serious collector but would also make a lovely race bike. Every single part has been inspected and replaced as required. Here is a brief indication of work carried out. > Complete strip down> Frame soda blasted. checked for any damage and then re-painted in the correct KTM shade of red. > Suspension and linkage serviced with new OE parts as required. > Engine stripped. cases aqua blasted. all parts checked and replaced as required. > Carb. stripped. cleaned and re-assembled with correct. stock jets and settings. > Every chassis part stripped. checked and replaced as required. > Wheels re-laced with stainless spokes. nbsp;> New Michelin tyres fitted. > New H/D chain fitted> New bars. OE Magura grips. clutch lever and kill switch. New cables as required. > New plastics ( OE Acerbis not after market) with correct age related decals. > New seat cover. > All fasteners replaced with high quality Wurth items. > Evans coolant fitted. Since completion the bike has been run-up for about 30 minutes and will require running in and setting up if it is to be raced. It has not seen dirt since completion!I will accept payment via bank transfer. cheque or cash. Which ever form of payment is used it must be cleared before collection !I would also consider taking card payment in certain circumstances. A £250 deposit will be required.
