For sale is my pride and joy a 2011 KTM EXC-F 450 Factory Edition complete with the world famous Rekluse un-stallable clutch system! Road registered with V5 in my name. MOT?ˆ™d till June 2015. All KTM bag and booklets included. If you are looking for the ultimate 'full fat' green laning / enduro bike then this bike is for you. Please read on. Full lighting kit as standard on these bikes. this isn't a MX bike converted to the road. Its the read deal. Starts first time on the button. the luxury of having an electric start is priceless when you see all the others trying to kick their bikes up on a hill. There is a reason why all the top riders have KTM's. they are the most reliable bikes out there. and this has never let me down. The reason for sale is I have come from a superbike background and I decided I wanted to try green laning/enduro riding. therefore I searched high and low for well sorted KTM 450 EXC-F Factory Edition. and along came this. Suspension: Standard front internals. WP rear shock ?ˆ“ both set up for 12 stone rider. Fully serviced front and back by Race Spec suspension in Tewkesbury with receipt to prove. Exhaust: Standard exhaust which is relatively quiet - green laning is all about trying to keep the walkers/tree huggers happy so this exhaust fits the bill as it doesn't wake the dead. Fluids: Motul racing dot 5. 1 for clutch and brakes. Putoline fully synthetic for engine oil. Tyres: Mitas CO2 rear tyre is approximately 10 hours old (see pictures ?ˆ“ it?ˆ™s practically new!) Front is Michelin Enduro Comp. Inner Tubes: Continental 4. 5mm ultra heavy duty front and rear (no more punctures with these beasts!)Engine: Standard XC4 engine with valve clearances checked 10 hours ago along with oil & filter ready for new buyer. Chain: Heavy duty chainProtectors: Frame protectors (both sides) and a heavy duty sump guardSeat: Low seat modification. so you aren't tip-toeing around. I am 5'10" and I can touch the ground nicely - as I feel in control of the bike. They are really high bikes as standard so this mod is perfect whatever your height. Lighting/Electrics: Front light with dipped beam and full beam. rear brake light. I have indicators but I took these off. horn. electric starter - all in perfect working order. The previous owner to myself added a cooling fan on the radiator to keep the bike nice and cool when doing tricky sections of off road riding. this is wired to a small on off switch on the handle bars so you can operate it when necessary. Kickstand: Has been modified with the high tensile stainless bolt mod - common on all ktm's as this bolt can sometimes shake loose or snap if you were to fall off. The new stainless high tensile setup eliminates this and is locktited on as per the ktm manual so another thing you will never have to worry about. I have owned this bike for 6 months now and it has been nothing but a blast to ride. KTM really are the best bikes when it comes to off-road/enduro. The current hours on the bike are 178. 6 in which time it has been well looked after ?ˆ“ not some teenage scrote abusing it. As mentioned above. the valve clearances have been done at 165 hours and were perfect. so no shims required. With the bike being the Factory Edition. it has a few things extra over a standard bike such as anodised triple clamps. powder coated orange frame brembo brakes front and back. etc. I am known for my OCD when it comes to my bikes. so I can assure you this bike in my possession has been well cared for! It has always been washed after every ride and I?ˆ™ve serviced it with new oil every 10 hours & new filters every other oil change. The oil and filter have just been done ready for the new owner ?ˆ“ I actually mean this unlike people who claim they change it every ride?ˆ¦ (yeah right). Air filter has also been cleaned and re-oiled ready for new owner. It has been used for green laning and I?ˆ™ve done one MX day with it so it has the occasional scratches you would expect on it from boots rubbing. there are a few stone chips on the frame and the exhaust mid pipe has a very slight dent in it ?ˆ“ just being honest. but then again which enduro bike doesn't. The rear silencer is like new. I?ˆ™m sure from the pictures you can see it is well looked after bike. Let me make special mention to the best upgrade on this bike. the Rekluse clutch. Now if you know your enduro bikes. you?ˆ™ll know the likes of top enduro riders Jonny Walker and Graham Jarvis swear by these on their bikes. The clutch lever is so much easier to pull in with it being hydraulic; it can be pulled in with your little finger. Basically speaking you can?ˆ™t stall this bike. so it makes laning so much more fun. no arm pump and if you like its twist and go! With the Rekluse. you can put it in 1st gear and twist and go if you like. no clutch ?ˆ“ if this isn?ˆ™t to your taste. you can override it with the clutch exactly as you would a normal bike ?ˆ“ but the trick is you don?ˆ™t have to worry about grabbing a handful of clutch going up a tricky section as you can?ˆ™t stall it.
