1978 Lambretta Jet 200 SX

Lambretta SX Jet 200I have owned this scooter for 9 years. I took it on as a restoration project and slowly restored it over a couple of years. Having it completely stripped to bare metal. going through at least 3 layers of paint. the top one fortunately being hammerite which preserved the rust free metal underneath. The new black and white colour scheme has been painted using 2 pack paint.  I have upgraded the ignition system to 12 volt for reliability reasons. other than that the scooter remains standard. using as many parts as I could from the original purchased scooter. I have used Scooterrestorations. com for any parts needed during the restoration. to which I have all the receipts to show for this.  This scooter has been the envy of many a scooter enthusiast and I have been very proud to have owned it. Due to a change in my personal circumstances. the time has come to part with it as it doesn't get the use it should. and someone else should benefit from owning this great scooter. This has stood for two years now in my garage. but is fired up from time to time and runs fine. the Scooter currently has no Mot although I am happy to MOT it for any serious buyer. The bike is registered as a 125. much to my surprise. but it is an SX Jet 200 bike! The previous owner owned it since 1987. and I knew the owner personally. so I do know it has been a well looked after bike.
