Malaguti X3M Enduro 125ccI have the V5 registration documents showing only 1 owner from new. the first being J&S Accessories of DoncasterThis is an air cooled 125 engine. The bike is built in the same factory as the Yamaha WR125 and XT125. The panels and some other stuff is Malaguti. ut the rest is supposed to be Yamaha XTBought this earlier in the year as a stolen recovery. The little scroats had broken the ignition. steering lock. front headlight and surround. mirrors off it. and the clocks had completely stopped working so no fuel gauge. speed read out or nothing. Apparently according to the last owner. the engine was also replaced for a new unit by the insurance company. and he reckons it hasn't done 1000 miles yet. How true this is I cannot say. but it sounds nice. is nice and clean. runs well. stops and starts as it should. goes through the gears nicely and does exactly as it should. It has cleaned up really nicely and looks the part. There are obviously a few scratches to the body. the worst being to the front mudguard as can be seen in the photos. and a small crack to the right hand panel which is really minor and doesn't detract from the bike at all. It has both kick start and electric start all workingIt is MOT'd until November 17 2015The mileage is showing as zero on the mot document due to there being no dashboard read-out at the time of testing. A vehicle doesn't need to have a working speedo to be mot'd. Obviously there is no road tax. I have replaced all the stuff that needed doing and fitted aftermarket clocks with the rev counter and digital read out. reconfiguring the wiring as necessary. Although in the picture. the display isn't showing for some reason I can assure you that is does work properly and looks like this:The speed sensor will need to be checked for accuracy against another bike or car. or you could use a satnav. they are normally good for within 2mph. but I think I've got the settings about right. I have reconfigured the wiring in such a way that if you do manage to find a set of original clocks. they can be re-connected easily with just a bit of soldering. All the original plugs are still there. just taped up and tucked away nicely. The one thing I could not connect was the fuel level read out on the display. This is simply because the sender unit in the tank is not a float type unit. It is a low level sensor only. and all it will do is put a light on the original dash to say the fuel is low. So seeing as this engine is air cooled and not liquid cooled. and doesn't have a temp sensor on it. I have used the engine temperature light as a low fuel warning light. This will come on with 1 1/2 litres of fuel left. So no excuse to run out of petrol. Or you can go by the mileage you do. as i do on my bike. It has good tyres and good brakes. good suspension front and rear and is a pretty comfy ride. And quite a nice looking bike now. I've even considered keeping it as a back-up to my own 1100 as it has a good seat height. But I could waffle on for ages with this. so all I'll say is if you are interested in it. then please come have a look. Or any questions are best answered on the phone if they are long or you have a few. Just call me on 07543-811460 and i'll answer them for you. Strictly cash on collection please. Provided you have taxed and insured it. you can ride it away. No warranty implied or given under any circumstances. It may be possible for me to deliver it if necessary for the cost of fuel one way. Please ask if need be.
