1997 Moto Guzzi California 75th Edition, 1023 mile Barn Find

We have a customer who bought several BMW's and Moto Guzzi's from us over the years. He is now 85 years old and he had to go to the old folks home. We were asked to help sell his 14 motorcycles. He stopped riding around 2001 and his bikes sat in a barn on his estate. This 1997 Moto Guzzi California is one of those bikes. This is a one owner bike. it fact the current owner bought it new here at our shop on May 2. 1997. WE are 100% sure the odometer is correct. only a little over 1000 miles since new. This is the 75th anniversary edition. number 386 of 750. This motorcycle is complete except for the battery. it even has the original tool kit. The tires still hold air and show very little wear although they should be changed do to their age. The motor turns over and has compression. the gear changer works as it should. The bike rolls and the suspension goes up and down. The paint is original and quite good. There are no obvious leaks. I believe this bike will require a complete fuel system and brake system flush and a new battery. Over the next few weeks we plan to sell his other bikes. this is the 3rd one so far for eBay.
