Description

1975 Guzzi Tonti-frame custom quasi-caf? hybrid. After many years of building riding and collecting older Moto Guzzis I had a large accumulation of spare parts which I decided to build into a complete motorcycle. This is not a restoration or showbike but a running Frankenstein Guzzi. The original frame is from a 1975 Guzzi 850-T and it is titled as such. The engine was from a T-3 with the integral oil-filter system. It has been completely rebuilt within the last 10K miles including all-new bearings and seals new Gilardoni Nigusil cylinder/piston sets new cam followers Valtek cam-chain tensioner with new cam chain rebuilt heads etc. BUB aftermarket external-filter oil sump with new high-pressure hoses and hose clamps. BUB exhaust headers and mufflers sounds great. Starts on first punch and runs very strong. Rebuilt Dell'orto VHB carbs with K&N filters. Electronic regulator/rectifier. New Valeo starter. Transmission cleaned with new seals and wearable items. Upgraded 4mm clutch hub & plates. Koni rear shocks. Rebuilt front forks and installed new steering-head bearings. Dual disks on front stock drum brake on rear. Good tires. Olive drab paint looks like army-issue. Older Japanese light switch. Yamaha headlight under a small caf? bullet fairing with clubman handlebars. TrailTech Vapor electronic speedometer/odometer (no stock gauges). Guzzi G-5 seat is nice and comfortable. Lightweight aluminum luggage rack; (tailbag NOT included).Working fork lock. Side toolboxes eliminated and added custom side covers. This is a real riding machine not a display object and not a beauty-queen restoration. Strong engine reliable and everything works as it should. Understand that this is a 40+ year-old bike and NOT a new modern motorcycle. It will need periodic maintenance and a mechanically-adept owner. Bike is currently registered in Texas as an antique. Reason for selling: I'm retiring and will relocate across country and I can't take everything. Requires $500 deposit by PayPal and balance prior to delivery of bike and papers.
