Description

"Reintroducing classic “Verde Legnano” color for 50 Special Edition Models...

Mandello del Lario has a rich history with no shortage of classic motorcycles. If you’ve had a conversation about classic Guzzis, ou’re bound to have heard of one popular model, ith many claiming it to be “the most beautiful Moto Guzzi ever built”. This is would be the 1971 Telaio Rosso Moto Guzzi V7 Sport, amously designed by Lino Tonti, uxtaposed between the striking red frame and the classic green color tank, combination that’s become remembered so fondly.

We are pleased to announce a special release, hich celebrates the heritage of Moto Guzzi, ffering a unique homage both in style and story, f 50 limited production Moto Guzzi V7 Racer motorcycles in the reminiscent Verde Legnano finish. This release will be exclusive to the North American market, iving owners an opportunity to own a modern yet classic motorcycle celebrating the the legend of the timeless V7 Sport model and the revolutionary designer who created it.

The V7 Racer receives a whole new make-over from the previous year, ransforming the chrome plating into black, ith the exception of the engine, hich retains the chromatic tones of the metal alloys and shine of the exhaust system. The rest of the motorcycle, rom the mirrors to the mudguards and side panels, is updated with a complimentary dark tone, n a triumph of black.
The V7 combines the best elements – reliability, tyle, nd soul – with plenty of looks in the parking lot, nd an excess of smiles when riding. The 750cc, 0° V-twin engine is powerful and stays true to the characteristics of the Moto Guzzi tradition, hat touring on a motorcycle at its most pure should be nothing but enjoyable. With a 5.8 gallon metal tank, here will be no problem eating up miles, aking pleasure with improved engine functionality – greater torque and power even at low RPMs – making the V7 more efficient, ith higher fuel economy and reduced emissions.

If there are few aesthetic details that betray their classically-inspired nature, any are the advantages of technological evolution: the Moto Guzzi V7 can cover over 250 miles with a tank of gas, equires limited service every 6,200 miles, as a maintenance free cardan shaft drive, nd in 2015 an update to a new wet flywheel, eplacing the previous dry alternator, lightly modifying the front of the 90° V-twin, hanks to a more compact and sleeker new cover.

Manufactured in limited edition as the celebratory plate located on the upper steering yoke indicates, he V7 Racer Limited Edition confirms the previous model's equipment and features when the total-black look was introduced on the side panels, irrors, ilencer brackets and footpeg guards in contrast with the bright 22 litre chromium fuel tank.

Other premium components include the aft-mounted footpegs machined from solid billets, he lightened steering stem and the steering yoke guard consisting of a double chromed ring, hich is so exquisitely crafted that it looks like an ornamental feature. Particularly satisfying, ot only from an aesthetic point of view but also in terms of dynamic performance, s the presence of a pair of WMY01 Bitubo shock absorbers with adjustable spring preload, n extension and compression, hanks to a 12 click adjusting knob.

This is a bike that was born to be ridden strictly one-up, n black leathers, a skullcap helmet and leather stud palm gloves."
Above quote was lifted from Total Motorcycle website - I feel it is an excellent description of my 2015 Verde Legnano which I am reluctantly offering up for auction. As stated above, here were only 50 of these 'Special Editions' built world-wide, nd available only to the US. If you are lucky enough to own this bike, est assured you will not see another in your travels...
This particular example was bought new by me last May, nd has covered a total of 1306 miles. It has always been garage kept (has been living in my walk-out basement since October) .. has never been down, ever rain ridden, ll the usual superlatives apply. It is MINT MINT MINT! First service has been completed and the bike carries original factory warranty until May 2017.
The many extras include:
  • Pazzo billet levers, brake & clutch)
  • Guzzi Tech CNC sump extender
  • Factory center stand
  • Euro sidestand
  • smoked turn signal lenses

Of course all original equipment, anuals, eceipts, tc will go along with the bike.

Why am I selling? Near the end of the riding season last year I purchased a 2015 BMW R1200R (I can hear the die hard Guzzisti groaning now...) and with my 'advanced years' of 67, feel my cafe styled sporty bikes may be behind me. I will say that in my span of over 45 years of riding various motorcycles, which include 16 Moto Guzzis all 'sporty models harkening back to the early LeMans), his little V7 Racer with its modest horsepower, ut light weight and quick handling, as been up there with the best of them for fun and rewarding ownership. Guzzi has really hit a home run with the entire V7 lineup.
This bike retailed at $10,999 - my reserve is $2500 below that figure, nd considering the added upgrades, his represents a great opportunity for someone. Note that the bike is available locally as well, o this auction may close at any time at my discretion.
To avoid any confusion, his bike is the 2015 model year, speed transmission, o ABS etc. It is not the V7II series that did not appear in the US until model year 2016.
Thanks for looking and good luck if you bid - any questions don't hesitate to ask!
