Call me. William White. if you'd like to talk about the bike805-765-0799"1998 the California 1100 series was upgraded and named California V11EV. Many upgrades including brakes. suspension. wheels. efi. etc. . etc. The '98 EV won the Cycleworld "Lucky 13" bike comparison and was highly regarded by the moto press. Something that's rare for a new Guzzi model. The bikes are built on the "Tonti Frame" which first appeared on the V7 Sport and 850 LeMans models in the 1970s. In otherwords. it's a 1970s sportsbike in cruiser clothing. Updated and refined. of course. The BBS tubeless spoked wheels are nice. The Serie Oro Brembo brakes are nice. The efi works well. as to the nice Marzocchi forks. Many MGNOC members have over 100. 00 miles on these bikes. They're a great motorcycle. ""the 1100 motor is bullet proof. really. That thing will last 200 or 300k before you need to do anything other than oil. Just beware. most that ride a Guzzi become Euro snobs and argue with BMW riders about their saggy titty looking motors""Smoke most every Harley everywhere and be a real pest to crotch rocket squids in the canyons. Bike goes. stops and handle way better than looks alone would suggest. Oh and on the throttle the sound is pure muscle car.
