1999 MOTO GUZZI CALIFORNIA 1100 EV WHITE

Cali EV Special pearlescent white with 21k on the clock and in excellent well maintained condition.  Fitted from new with a genuine Guzzi screen and rare leather saddlebags with Guzzi logo. Chrome work is generally excellent with some minor pitting on the side stand. The wheels have the desirable spoked alloy rims which allow the use of tubeless tires. the spokes are all rust free and clean although the rims would benefit from a deep clean and polish. The exhaust system is all stainless and sounds fruity without being too loud. The unreliable electronic fuel valve has been replaced with an updated manual one from Gutzibits.  Paintwork is excellent other than a small area over the front mudguard where the previous owner had a tool roll fitted which has made a few marks. You have to look close to see it though. Tires are virtually brand new Metezelers and suit the bikes handling character superbly. A new battery has been fitted along with a full service to include filters and plugs. The bike has a fresh MOT so a full 12 months. The brakes have been professionally de-linked with a Nissin replacement front master cylinder and braided hoses all round.  Some paint loss on the bevel box which is typical for these bikes although the engine paint is surprisingly good with a minor amount of paint lift around the front engine mount. The front fork legs could benefit from a rubdown and re-lacquer but are presentable.  A tiny 1cm tear in the seat which is hardly noticeable but feel it is worthy of mention. An absolute blast to ride with a strong punchy engine which pulls hard in all gears. As a fan of older Guzzis. this one will not get the use it deserves which is the reason for sale. I would be interested in a swap or trade for a winter project in the form of a Loop frame Guzzi. 500 Falcone or Norton single or Commando WHY.
