2002 Moto Guzzi V11 LeMans

The Good:Fantastic bike! I am the third owner of this limited edition Moto Guzzi that has been very well cared for over the years by older Guzzi enthusiasts. This bike was bought through Moto International in Seattle and outfitted with a Power commander. Stucchi cross over and Mistral carbon fiber exhaust system since day one. I've since installed K&N pod filters and had Moto International dial it in. I couldn't believe it had the original battery in it when I had to replaced it this summer. I also replaced the rear tire with a Michelin Power Pilot 3. Newer brakes and front rotor. New wheel bearings front and rear. Shift spring replaced. The Bad:If you are familiar with these bikes you will know what I am talking about when I say that the black wrinkle paint on the motor and gearbox is starting to flake. (photo) If not. this is a common occurrence on Guzzis from this time period. Factory defect. The odometers were also prone to fail due to the plastic gears used and this one did so very early on in life. According to the information passed on from the previous owners I will guesstimate the bike has 20 to 25. 00 on it. One of the previous owners used an abrasive scouring pad to remove something from the tank and wind screen. I was able to buff out the blemish on the tank and not so much on the visor. I have used a polish and it looks a lot better than it did. You just need to know it is there. The ignition key has broken off in the ignition switch and I have opted to use the half key to turn on and off the bike as well as locking the steering. I have researched and tried everything I could to remove the broken piece but the only way to repair this is to rekey the ignition by drilling out the triple tree blah blah blah. It works fine with the half key. The sticker on the tail section is covering a blemish in the paint caused by rubbing of the rear luggage rack.
