Today we are regretfully auctioning The Lamberto Special. This Gen1 V-Max was the brain child of an Italian immigrantwho hada dream of creating the wildest Euro styled Gen1 out there. His name was Lamberto and I am sorry to say he passed away earlier this year before he could see the final project completed. Now, he remaining family has asked me to find The Special a new home. All of the money created in the sale (less Ebay fees) will go to his daughter who is a single Mom raising two young kids in NYC. Please take a close look at all these parts because they are all new and never been driven down the street. He started collecting his parts in 2002 and used a 2001 bike as the base for the Special. This bike had very few miles (don't know exact because there was no speedo when I received the project) and you can tell by the condition of the engine paint and the carb set. Immaculate. He started with a 2002 R1 fork from Europe that has wild billet trees and was extended to work with the V-Max frame. The fork was paired with a Marchesini 3.5" by 17" forged aluminum wheel with Brembo 320MM full floating rotors clamped by 4 piston Brembo calipers. Pressure applied to the front brake and clutch slave are done by a pair of CNC machined ISR master cylinders. Mounted next to these machined masters are a set of Rizoma mirrors. All this is held up by a set of Rizoma handlebar risers. Steering control is done with a Scotts dampener. Headlights are billet and may be Rizoma I don't know. Tach and speedo have been replaced with a custom Dakota Digital dash holding a HLY-3013 speedometer and a HLY-3027 tachometer. This dash was a $950.00 custom made piece just for this bike. Foot controls are Attack and have custom multi mount threaded plates welded to the chassis. The swingarm is a very rare Race Applications Monaco (RAM) single sided aluminum made for the R1. Similar arms for Ducati sell for $3800.00. To make it even more impressive there is a 6" by 17" Marchesini single sided rear wheel with a set of two dual piston Brembo calipers riding inboard of the rear sprocket. The chassis was shortened by moving the pivot forward as far as we could and mounting an Ohlins single shock into the V-Max frame. A billet aluminum battery box was installed along with a GSXR aluminum rear section that holds the 4.5 gallon fuel tank. The MV Agusta F4 inspired seat and tail were originally designed to fit the GSXR 750 so we bought the frame work and fabricated the mounts on the mono shock V-Max. The rest of the fiberglass body work is from Europe and I don't know the maker. With the swingarm up against the back of the engine a custom stainless exhaust was needed. It has 2 Yosh TRS cans for placement on either side of the F4 tail. Secondary connection pipes still need to be fabricated. This is a very special bike and a rare opportunity to purchase some incredible parts for a great price. Please send questions with email or call me 518-346-7203. Thank you and good luck!
