Norton Wideline Project Cafe Racer or Restoration

Heres a nice project for someone. I bought it a few weeks ago with the intention of making a caf? racer with the Norton engine . unless I could get a triumph one. however I soon realised that I had enough with my other projects  and a new car being needed I have listed it here. /p>

Frame . its a 1957 model 88 WITH NO DOCUMENTS it had a fairing mount welded to the headstock ( easily removed) and the centre stand lugs have been removed. I have not checked it for alignment. It has clear numbering

Engine is a Norton model 99 seems to turn over OK but has one broken fin ( top one)

Gearbox feels ok but has a crack in the bottom bolt tube mount (easy fix)

Clutch plates missing

Wheels both present with brake plates. spindles and speedo box. rear has fair chrome

NO FORKS but one roadholder slider and one other

Bits and pieces. most of carb. one spare front brakeplate. alternator ( not shown) and carb manifold (not shown)

Engine Plates. rear ones chrome and front ones alloy

Fairing  nice period one is solid condition cleaned up and painted would look good

Seat  solid but needs recovering

Tank correct and solid . good paintwork

Oil tank . sound and battery box ( no lid )

In conclusion its a good stating point for a special ( for separate listings after this has finished I have a pair of chrome yokes and the primary cases . outer chrome inner powder coated silver buyer will have first refusal at reasonable cost )
