CLASSIC VINTAGE 1971 NORTON 750 COMMANDO

THIS IS A GREAT BIKE!!!!!

I have been LUCKY enough to have owned this bike since the early 1980's. It belonged to my husband and I. We purchased it from the 2nd owner with approx. 2000 mi. on the odometer. We enjoyed it for about a year. then the kids came along and we graduated to Hot Rods ('cause you could fit the kids inside). Consequently the bike sat unused.  The cylinders were always flooded with mystery oil though. and I would go out and kick the cylinder over every couple months.

We are now divorced. but still friends (he got the Hot Rod. I got the bike). I had hoped to restore and ride this bike. but the truth is. it is just TOO much bike for me. I have always loved these old NORTON motorcycles. ever since my teenage crush on my girlfriend's brother who rode one!! I would really like to see this bike go to someone who will restore her and enjoy her!! I had this bike running approx. 18 months ago.

3400 ORIGINAL MILES!!!!!!!

ALL NUMBERS MATCH!!!!

All cables (clutch& brake) are in WORKING order. The MOUNTS and MUFFLER are ORIGINAL. All gauges ( one gauge has slight damage. see photo) and lights are in good shape. It kicks over easily and has GOOD COMPRESSION. The sprocket is LIKE NEW and is WELL GREASED. I believe the keepers on the front end have been replaced.  The seat is ORIGINAL. The fenders that were originally chrome. but are now painted black. are with the bike as is the side cover & taillight assembly. All other nuts etc. that I removed over the years. have been stored in a compartmentalized box and labeled. There is an ORIGINAL OWNERS WORKSHOP MANUAL to go with this bike. as well as a VINTAGE TIN TYPE Norton Motorcycle collectible sign.  The fiberglass tank has a leak (typical). and the bike needs a battery. There is NO TITLE( we never had one back then). but I do have a CERTIFIED NOTARIZED STATE OF CT. MOTOR VEHICLE OWNERSHIP AFFIDAVIT dated 8/31/'06
