Norton Commando 750 Engine

SOLD   SOLD   SOLD   SOLD   SOLD   SOLD  SOLD   SOLD   SOLD  SOLD   SOLD   SOLD    This is a very good. running 750cc Norton Commando engine.   I built this engine as a spare for my Featherbed racer. but it was never used. It is a fast road configuration designed for reliability not outright speed. as I needed to guarantee mid field finishes in order to get my National licence to ride another bike in the IOM Classic. This means the engine uses standard ignition timing. carburation. valve clearances etc.

New matching cases (hence no numbers).

A dynamically balanced crank (by JJ near Swindon. 70% as recommended by Paul Dunstall for fitting in non-Isolastic frames. so this will go straight into Seely. Featherbed etc) Balancing is good for Isolastics too!.

FAG taper roller mains. /p>

Standard rods and pistons and compression.

2S cams. (standard for sportier road Commandos)

The best head - RH6S - which makes it the larger 32mm inlet and 9. 3:1 compression head fitted with the improved 850 Commando valve guides. This is the one to have! The best head for pump fuel.

New valves and springs.

Drive side crank journal has good threads and keyway.

Exhaust threads good.

The motor breathes as standard from the back of the cases. (Many race engines were modified by drilling the timing chest and breathing from the "magneto" area).

NOTE this engine was not raced!

When my brother blew up his own road Commando engine. this spare engine was fitted. It is this combination that you see in the Youtube clip. Starts from cold. Does not smoke! The engine has done about 3000 miles. (Bro has now fixed his engine and his bike is matching numbers again)
