This very rare and much sought after tax free 1973 850 Norton Commando with matching numbers has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life ?ˆ“ the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 12774 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. Here at DK Motorcycles we have very little knowledge or experience with these classic British bikes so we will rely upon you aficianados to decide but as you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the mirrors & indicators. What I can say is it's every bit as nice as it looks here. The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims. good disc. caliper & working master cylinder. Forks & yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid & very tidy. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look great. Fuel tank & side panels very presentable. Exhaust system is solid & presentable. Seat is in very good condition throughout. Chain guard is tidy. The engine is cosmetically very clean. it turns over nicely off the kick starter ?ˆ“ sounds/feels great & has compression ?ˆ“ When we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it a few squirts of ether it starts & runs but the carbs do need cleaning indeed it will need re-commissioning throughout ?ˆ“ afterall a 41/Forty one year old bike with only 13K on the clock has done a lot of standing around!
If you require any further information please give us a call or better still visit our showroom and have a good look over the bike for yourself ?ˆ“ after all who are you going to believe me or your own eyes?
