You are bidding for a 1958 500 Norton. The frame is from a 350 Norton which also left the factory in 1958. As you can see from the pics it is far from standard. The bike was bought from Colin Rides motocycles as a non runner with many parts missing. We were told it was a 500ss that blew its crank cases so the 500ss internals were put in a normal dommy crank case. Myself and a friend rebuilt the bike to sprint. However we only run it at Thunder sprint twice. Some of the work done include a Bob Newby belt drive clutch. Front wheel is from a bmw a r75. Its been bored to +80 and running 650 pistons. The Head is a rare SS500 with twin mikuni 26mm carbs. The bottom end has been stripped and sludge trap has been cleaned. New main bearings from Norvil were fitted. She starts really well 2nd or 3rd kick. The unity equipe TT special pipes sound really nice. We will be sorry to see the bike go but needs must. The bike is advertised else were so we reserve the right to end the auction early. The winner must pay in cash on collection. We maybe able to deliver the bike at a cost to cover petrol. You are welcome to view the bike before biddingPlease feel free to phone me on 07525091362 for any more infoThanks for looking and happy bidding :)
