- 1953 Norton Dominator Model 88
- This listing is for a beautifully restored “Dommie”. It’s the 497 cc Norton engine set in the World famous “featherbed” frame. The combination of engine and frame with it’s extraordinary handling characteristics set the pace for several years of racing. This particular motorcycle has been comprehensively restored by Tim Bardsley of Ontario, anada. Tim certainly is one of the best restorers anywhere. He has an extremely good understanding of the Norton motorcycle and how it should be restored. The motorcycle received a complete mechanical restoration. The cosmetics…..look at the pictures. It’s hard to imagine a better example of this classic. The motorcycle is an expensive model to restore. The fuel tank, or example, equires so much work in preparing it for chrome plating and then, f course, he painting! The motorcycle has been in a private collection (climate controlled) and has not been ridden since completing restoration This “Dommie” would be a great addition to a fine motorcycle collection. You just don’t see them often and certainly not in this fine condition. Of course, he motorcycle has a clear title. A low starting bid and a low reserve! Good luck bidding!

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
Please note that we sell motorcycles on consignment. If the motorcycle is a “rider”, hen we clean it, heck fluids and start it….then photo and list it. If the motorcycle is restored and has been in a private collection, hen we clean it, hoto it and list it. If you buy one of these outstanding, estored motorcycles and intend to ride it, e recommend that you carefully service the motorcycle (or have this done by a professional) to prepare it for the road. Things such as tires may be New Old Stock, ore than 25 years old and as such are quite valuable, ut, otentially not roadworthy. Thank you for your understanding. We love selling these incredible motorcycles….we want every buyer to be pleased and safe!Oh, e sure to ask questions before bidding. We will get back to you as soon as possible! Happy Bidding!!
International bidders please be advised that a shipping of documents charge of between $25.00 and $100.00 (depending on how fast you want documents to arrive at your address) will be required along with the deposit. A separate money request will be sent to you through PayPal with the actual cost of shipping cost specified. All documents will need to be mailed back to us(at your expense) before bike can be picked up by your shipper. This is a shipping charge not a document charge. We do not charge for documents. Thank you for understanding.
