Description

For Sale. My Norton Commando Interstate 850 Mk3. This bike has lots of history and many modifications. She came to me with the following history. Full Nut and Bolt Restoration to concours standard by Norvil Ltd between 2004. A cert of valuation ?ˆ?. in excess of £10. 00. ?ˆ™ from Norvil in May 2004 All the Invoices and work sheets listing every part and work carried out  by Norvil for initial restoration in 2004. cost £9. 38. 99 and various subsequent servicing by Norvil and others. Invoice and service sheets from Norman White in Jan 2009 when he overhauled the engine and Gearbox with 56 Hrs work and many replaced parts to a cost of 4. 92. 20. Including New Isolastics. his own Upgraded Head Steady and Belt driveThe recent overhaul by myself replacing many parts all accounted for by receipts from Mick Hemmings totaling more than I care to think about. This included a new Valves. Guides. Mushroom Tappets. Rocker Spindles. Push Rods. Cam Followers. PW3 Cam. Re-bored cylinders. New Pistons. Sexy Con-Rods. Re-ground and Bal. Crank. Bearings and Seals. Overhauled Oil Pump. Oil Pressure Release Valve. i think thats it! Oh. no there?ˆ™s the electrics. New Loom (all soldered). Pazon Sure-fire Electronic Ignition. Solid State Rectifier. Stator and Rotor. New Battery. All machining was done c/o Mick Hemmings Motorcycles. I also removed the old Tank Sealant from the petrol tank and replaced with a new Ethanol Proof Tank Sealant. The bike has been fitted with the following upgrades:NJB Rear ShocksLansdown Fork Dampers with Adjustable Compression and Rebound DampingBelt Primary Drive - Norman WhiteIsolastic Head Steady - Norman WhitePW3 CamTwin Front Disks with AP Calipers - NorvilBrand New Amal Premier Carbs. Goodridge Brake Hoses Goodridge OIl Lines18?ˆ? Rear WheelShe has heaps of paperwork with her:All  MOT?ˆ™s going back to 1979 - 1st one and service records. leading me to think that the milage is correct. The original Service Book is included. An article from ?ˆ?The Classic Bike Guide?ˆ™ from Oct 2005 featuring the Bike and the then owners. who had made a trip to the ?ˆ?Lucas?ˆ™ Rally in Holland and won ?ˆ?Best Twin?ˆ™ award. See Pic. Proof of ownership right back to the 80?ˆ™s and beyond. Old Photographs of the bike winning show?ˆ™s. Lots of old Magazine articles with service guides and reviews. She is in great cond. and is running very well with 120 miles on since the re-build. She looks stunning and is a beautiful thing to ride. She?ˆ™s pulling very strongly low down. I?ˆ™ve only taken her up to 3-3500RPM so far. Tyres are Michelin TT100's with lots of tread. There are a couple of jobs outstanding and things worth pointing out. The Console is not standard. it is in fact the bottom of a Rizla tin. I used it place of the original console which cracked. as a temporary measure. but it has stayed on. Works quite well. although it is starting to corrode. Also the headlamp stays are bent. Due to me bending them to fit some lower ?ˆ?bars. The Master Cylinder didn?ˆ™t fit. It was massively uncomfortable and the bars are back to standard but the stays remain. bent. The Electric Started has been removed.  This bike is bristling with extras. up-grades and new parts and if my circumstances were different then she would be a keeper. but. she has to go. Please feel free to call me and chat over the bike and ask any questions. I?ˆ™m sure there is things I?ˆ™ve missed. I?ˆ™ve had a lot of fun on this bike and I hope someone else will too. There?ˆ™s a lot of miles left in her.  Best Kevin 07768 878969
