You bid, ou WIN!On offer is a fairly complete collection of Norton Commando used and refurbished parts, oosely assembled into a rolling cafe racer project. Unless noted otherwise, ll parts are rebuildable or serviceable as-is. A few parts are new, s noted.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:1969 cases #20M3S / 133XXX, tandard pistons & rings, AG "Superblend" bearings, onnecting rods (one is scratched, ay need replacing). Missing some camchain drive parts. Cases, ylinders and head have only partial fastener hardware. Mismatched valve spring caps & keepers. Rocker shafts are missing spacers & thin springs. Cylinders are in fair shape, ith all 4 cam followers in good condition. Cam lobes in very good condition. Complete primary, lternator & clutch assembly; clutch basket inner steel face plate has come adrift of the basket by the three rivets. Outer primary cover has a footpeg ding. Inner primary cover needs to be re-threaded to install new alternator mounting studs. Does include set of 3 mounting spacers. No stand-off stud for inner primary. Transmission case # 133XXX is empty, part from final drive gear and mainshaft; missing entire gear cluster with the exception of those two parts. Transmission is also missing all mounting hardware and shifter parts except the outer splined shaft with the integrated arm "pawl carrier assembly" that the shifter bolts to. Oil pump is rough but serviceable; worm gear & crank pinion in place. Transmission serial number & engine number match.CHASSIS, USPENSION, HEELS & BRAKES:1974 frame #31XXX in good condition, ront downtubes have some slight dimples from typical highway peg installation. 1975 transmission cradle does not have primary chain adjuster / slotted transmission top bolt mounting hole; this cradle can be drilled and slotted, r exchanged for an earlier style cradle. Isolastic mounts need total rebuild including proper through-bolts. Front forks, heel and brakes are from a 60s Matchless and need total overhaul as well as some internal parts and a top yoke. Front forks are presently not secure, ut are stable enough to roll the bike around and transport it. Front brake works well and has good shoes. Swingarm needs new bushings and spindle caps. Rear wheel has been re-laced with all new Buchanans stainless spokes and new nipples. Rear brake needs some parts (both brake shoes are included). Rear inner tube is new, oth tires are old. Front rim has surface rust. Rear shocks are rough.BODYWORK: Fiberglass Roadster gas tank has some repair, eeds total repair and lining for use with modern gasoline. Decent condition oil tank. No sidecovers. Front fender in fair condition, ear fender is unfinished and needs mounting hardware. Roadster seat with original cover in good condition.EXHAUST & INTAKE SYSTEMS:Standard chrome headers with previously cut off tail sections, pot-welded back together, equire proper welds. Mismatched / rough exhaust rose nuts. Aftermarket shorty mufflers with all mounting hardware. Mikuni 2-into-1 carb conversion kit in good condition, eeds proper fuel line connectors & rebuild kit / gaskets. At buyer's option, will substitute a set of original Amal 930 concentric carbs for the Mikuni kit.CONTROLS & LEVERS: Clip-onhandlebars with integrated levers in good condition. Hand-made aluminum foot controls with some linkage parts, eed final fitting and adjusters. Shifter can be arranged with linkage (not included), r simply flip the shifter to the rear and use 1-down, -up shift pattern. No kickstart or shift levers included. Single-cable throttle in good condition. Will substitute dual cable throttle at buyer's option with dual carbs.ELECTRICAL & LIGHTING: Sparx electronic ignition system with pair of used Lucascoils. Lucas alternator with solid state Tympanium regulator/rectifier. Modern UJM handlebar dipper switch / horn button. No wiring loom, o switches.OEM meter cups.No meters included.PAPERWORK:Notarized Bill of Sale only. Texas title can be obtained at additional cost; title application takes between 30 – 45 days.SHIPPING & HANDLING:Shipping is the responsibility of the BUYER.
