1975 NORTON COMMANDO 850 Roadster Electric Start

1975 NORTON 850 COMMANDO Electric StartRecently pulled out of long term storage
This is 1975 850 Commando Roadster with a steel tank and electric start. It has disc brakes front and rear and the shifter on the left (modern style). It has been stored for the better part of the last 20 years or so inside. The engine turns over and has compression and it shifts through the gears. No attempt has been made to start the bike. It is a matching numbers bike -see photos of the numbers.
This Norton could be used as-is cosmetically, owever it would benefit from a freshening. The paint is original on the frame-good in some places and worn in others. The tank and side covers are dull. The rear fender is perfectly straight. The front fender has a coupleweird little dings in one area on the rear portion, ut is otherwise excellent. Both fenders could use a good polish. The gauges are excellent with no fade. The chrome on the headlight has some freckling, ars are nice.
Not shown but included is the kick lever. It is off the bike in the photos. The center stand is missing and the side stand swings too far forward.The tires will need to be replaced before any road use.Overall, good bike to get running and use as is (not tires), r the basis for a proper resto.
