Apologies for the inconvenience of ending the original listing. I mistakenly listed the bike as a 1969 originally. It is, n fact, 1970 and has been all along.
Since the year is un-editable in a listing, was forced to re-list so I can accurately represent the motorcycle.
Let's try this again.....
Up for sale is a real, atching numbers, igh pipe 750 Commando S. Previous owner did a complete restoration of this motorcycle including powder coated frame polishing of all aluminum, ew Fireflake Blue Paint (House of Kolors Royal Blue Flake).
Engine is in good condition with equal compression in the 180s, arburetors are a few years old and bike starts on the first kick.
When motorcycle was restored, n addition to cosmetics, he following was done:
New Carburetors
Boyer Ignition
New aluminum wheels with stainless steel spokes
New Tires
New rear shocks
Rebuilt front forks with new upper tubes
New reproduction seat
Braided oil lines and fuel lines
I have done some minor work to the bike - rebuilt carbs with new gaskets, ew brake shoes and repaired some wiring.
I purchased this motorcycle from a family member and expected to use it more than I have. I can't stand to see it sit in storage and am selling to fund other projects.
State of NH does not Title vehicles this old, o the bike will be sold with a Bill of Sale and current NH registration.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. The bike has been in the family for about 8 years, o I can answer most inquiries. I have tried to represent the bike as accurately as possible in the photos. However, f there is something specific you need to see that I have left out, lease let me know and I'll get a picture ASAP.
I will try and post some pictures with better lighting (e.g. in the sun). If you have any specific picture requests please message me.
Thank you!
.
It was brought to my attention that the Frame/Engine number listed fall outside of the production dates of the "S" model which ran from March to June 1970.
I do not want to misrepresent the bike, ut if this is true then it is a high exhaust roadster - which is a bummer since I originally paid for an "S".
Please adjust and/or cancel bids accordingly.
Thank you!
Reserve price has been adjusted accordingly.
I have had several inquiries into the type of gas used with regards to the fiberglass tank. I have been using 93 octane pump gas here in NH which may or may not have ethanol up to 10% depending on summer or winter blends. However, hen the tank was refinished the inside of the tank was treated with an ethanol proof coating. A product similar to POR 15. I was trying to capture this protective coating in the photos. If you look at the photo of the tank with the cap open you can see the greenish colored protective coating inside the tank. Thanks for all the interest!
