BUT U.K. MADE NORTON.WELL MAINTAINED TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE, EADY TO GO!This BONNEVILLE has NOT BEEN restored... only MAINTAINED!By the way, ES! she is a LEFT HAND (normal now-a-days) SHIFT!
This TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE T140V, 50 is in fantastic shape, tarts, uns, tops, hifts and goes down the road as she should!FAST, ependable and good looking all in one package.... yep, looker AND a rider!!!
NO smoke, O oil consumption, nd NO oil leaks... Runs smooth and quiet (The exhaust note isauthoritativeto 3000 RPM and then she lets loose with a ROOOOAR), hat the heck, t's a BONNY with "NO eqalizer pipe... TRUE DUAL EXHAUST", oooooooooo SWEET!!!!! I am actually happy that the Original set finally fell apart, ood excuse the have her sound like they did when I was a kid...(I had a 1976 Bonneville in my younger years) AND LOVIN' IT!Below are just a few of the high and low points:
Body/Frame- NO RUST to speak of anywhere! (doesn't happen here in our sunny, roughtridden, alifornia)- VERY LIGHT"rust" spottinghere and there on the chrome areas, one noticed on the painted areas... it is so minor that it's hard to see in person... seriously, et alone in the pictures, ut ya gotta mention it, he's a rider.... NOT restored, just Maintain her and keep her runnin'.- The Exhaust is fairly new and is tight, olid with NO rust, he has New Header pipes with Norton Pea Shooters on her... a REALLY SWEET SOUND, nd LOOKS AWESOME!The original pipes fell apart (literally) over the years so I opted for the "NON-Equalized" headers and Norton Pea Shooters. INCLUDED is also a set of Classic 1 3/4" bore, traight (BRAND NEW) "Cocktail Shaker" silencers which areoutrageouslyload if ya remove the baffle ("not my style", ut cool)... AND I also have a (BRAND NEW) set of BURGESS TYPE Silencers with the EXTENDED INLET (so your kick-starter won't hit the larger part of the silencer) but these just didn't "grab me" like I thought they would, again... "Not my style", ut cool too). BOTH OF THESE EXTRA SETS OF BRAND NEW silencers ARE INCLUDED with the bike!!! (I used them around the block and figured... not for me, h well) (see pictures)- She hasn't been all cleaned up, his is just the way I keep her.- The Handle Bars, enders and Rims (chrome stuff) are basically rust free-The seat is in Excellentcondition on top AND underneath.(see pictures)- The Frame is solid and smooth.... NO rust to speak of, ONE. (see pictures)- The headlight, ach and speedo are perfect! They all WORK PERFECT ALSO!(see picture)- Handle Bar mounts to Tripple Tree have been COMPLETELY replaced including cups, ubber isolaters, ashers, nd retainers... bars are nice and tight now, s they should be.- The Air Control Lever (Choke) works perfectly, s it should- Both side covers are tight with NO cracking and fit perfectly!- NEW CLUTCH including FULLassemblyplates and springscompleted this mostresentservice. (Clutch was getting a little un-predictable, mooth now!)-FullService and Preventative Maintenance(engine, transmission, nd primary oils all changed, ad the brake fluid drained and replaced while replacing all brake hoses, alves adjusted, lugs, oints, arbs cleaned and setup, ew engine oil hoses, ew brake hoses (front and rear)professionallycompletedthis month (May, ncluding replaced the "oil hoses" under the motor as they were starting to weep a little.- NEW (last summer) ORIGINAL style Dunlop Gold Seal K70's front and rear, ront 3.25x19 (DOT 7T1N) and rear 4.00x18 (DOT 7TY2) as Original. (don't know where that went... but I'll keep lookin' for it)- Comes with Clear California TITLE, wners Manual, arts Books, RIGINAL Triumph (4 ring) Shop Manual printed in ENGLAND, ith no missing pages, nd the CLYMER Shop Manual that I have used for years... - I'm sure I have forgotten something, ut check the pictures as they are the best atdescribingthis FANTASTIC (almost original) 1977 Triumph Bonneville T140V, 50 of mine.... and please ask questions. I could go on forever about my Bonny, LOVE THIS BIKE... but enough is enough... If ya need more info.... JUST ASK.
PLEASE look at the pictures closely, have taken pictures of the "bad stuff", hich is really only the Faded, racking paint on the Gas Tank... that really is the only "BAD STUFF" on this Triumph T140V 750 Bonny. At least I think I got a good picture of it....so ya know exactly what it looks like... although it's NEVER bothered me as it gives a realsenseof this Bonnies age... nothing to be ashamed of for sure! What ya see, s what ya get.
Ya need ta know, his IS one of my FAVORITE RIDES, nd she getsriddenoften, o she IS READY TA RIDE ANYWHERE... ANYTIME, nd I don't mean just around the block... she's use to havin' a 200, 00, 00, nd even a 500 mile day put on her, nd she LOVES IT!!!!
ANY questions, LEASE ASK NOW, OT after the auction ends.
Please Read:I purchased this Triumph Bonny T140V years ago, he IS one of my FAVORITE riding machines! This Bonny has NOT BEEN "restored"! (I don't go for that "restored" stuff... maintain them and ride them, HAT'S WHAT IT'S ABOUT!!!) And sheHAS BEENMAINTAINED! (my ridin' buddies say I over Maintain her... but they don't have ta wait for me when we go on a major putt! I usually have ta wait for them)The motor runs great! NO oil leaking, he valves adjusted, nd a tune-up and all fluids changed were done in mid-May for this spring riding season as usual... so no work to do there. Soooo she's READY TA RIDE across country or localand have some real fun! You take care of (MAINTAIN) her, nd she'll take care of you!!!! She's NEVER let me down... NEVER!NOTHIN' LIKE an older Triumph Bonneville ta get the juices flowin'.... NOTHIN'!
I rode her to the Sierras two weeks ago for lunch and a putt (Jamestown, A., nd then north on hi-way 49, hen west on 88 ta home, id about 200+ miles round-trip).... GREAT riding up there! LOTS of GREAT TWISTIES!!!You will find out that even a 20 minute trip to the grocery store, ost office, r gas station WILL turn into a 1 HOUR trip.... because someone ALWAYS wants ta talk to ya about her, nd the bike they used ta have... or wanted ta have....it takes longer, ut it IS FUN.
NOTICE: Mileage is as of DATE LISTED.... She will probably have a few more miles on her at end of auction as I do ride this Bonneville at least once a week as weather permits. Sometimes only a couple miles, ther times as far as I can go, nd back home in a day.Once she's purchased and the deposit is paid, will not ride her (don't worry). She'll be covered up safe and sound in the garage.... waiting ta go for a ride with her new owner.....AND YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE!!!
Why am I sellin' her?Well, 've got a shed and garage full of older bikes and it's a real chore tryin' ta keep up with "takin' care of them" as they should be, o I'm thinnin' the herd. I only ride a couple of them regularly (and this IS one of them) now, nd it's time someone else gets a chance ta enjoy this sweet Bonneville now... and take care of her. So..... now ya know.Did I forget anything? I'm sure I did, eck, 'm pushin' 70 now.... I'm lucky I remember where the coffee pot is half the time.If ya have any questions... PLEASE ask!If I know the answer, 'll tell ya, nd if I don't, 'll tell ya I don't know.... NOBologna!
