NORTON ATLAS 1964 750cc

For sale is my 1964 Norton Atlas 750cc . I have owned this bike for some 15 years but due to other projects only restored and registered it in 2005. he bike has always been in the UK. It is registered in my name and comes with a UK V5C it is tax exempt and is currently MOT till December (If my price is paid will put 12 months MOT on) Now to the bike If you are looking for a well proven and reliable machine that's starts first time every time and performs like a big British Twin should do this is it . I did not restore this bike just to be put up for sale . t was done over a number of years for my own use and satisfaction and was done to a high standard It has done approx. 4000 miles since restoration and was up to a number of years ago regularly ridden both local and long distance in some instances 300 mile round trips The restoration was as follows !!!!! Stainless Steel front and rear mudguards Stainless Steel stays and bolts !!!!!! The wheels were rebuilt with British Made Chrome Rims (Central Wheel of Birmingham) Polished Stainless Spokes and Nipples !!!!!The forks were re-built with new oil seals new springs new top and bottom bushes new Stainless Steel seal holders !!!!!!! It has a TLS front brake together with stiffening plate so it stops well !!!!The handle bars are slightly raised to make a better ride position on long rides Genuine Doherty Brake-Clutch levers are fitted !!!!!! The original clocks were fully serviced and show a recorded miles of 24982 !!!! Made in England bar mounted Stainless Steel Rear Mirror is fitted !!!!! All original Brightwork was Re-Chromed !!!!!!! New chains primary-final drive -magneto -cam !!!!! All cables were replaced brake -clutch- speedo -rev counter throttle and carb splitters !!!!! All fuel and oil pipes were replaced. braided on fuel lines !!!!! New wiring harness loom !!!!! New Solid state Regulator Rectifier plug leads and caps !!!!!! The Magneto was fully reconditioned by Dave Lindsley the bike runs well and starts evertime !!!!!!! Both the frame petrol and oil tanks were painted with top quality 2K paint and laqure - Original Tank badges were re-polished !!!!! The engine is still on its original boar . did however fit new pistons-rings-valves-valve stems and seals -valve springs !!!!!!!! There are no knocks-rumbles rattles or smoke it does not use any oil it is smooth and pulls very well for a 50 year old bike !!!!!!! The gear box is smooth -silent with effortless gear changes !!!!!! Twin Amal carbs !!!!!!!! British Made (Armours) Chrome Exhaust -Silencers were fitted !!!!! Hagon sports rear shocks !!!!! Norville Sports Hump Seat !!!!! Recent New Battery was fitted last week !!!! I would consider this bike to be in very very good condition and would welcome examination or viewing !!!!!! The bike is now offered for sale due to my ongoing back problems in that I have had a number of back operations and no longer ride it !!!!!!
