Norton Commando 1975 MK3 Electric Start - Original

1975 Norton Commando Roadster (2 owner bike) very original.   This bike comes with original sales slip from Leo's South a Minnesota based Norton dealer.    This bike retailed in 1976 for $1850.   A triumph was traded in towards this bike and it is all documented on the invoice.   I even have the original Customer Identification card and the tag from the wiring harness before the battery was hooked up.   Also the complete service voucher. literature wallet etc.

This bike is a local MN bike and was purchased and stayed in the state. it was ridden in the 70's and then stored until the late 90's.   It was maintained by Wheels Unlimited (Norton dealer) in Rochester MN.   There are some receipts but not all.

The Good:

- Matching numbers - Engine. tranny. frame

- Original documentation showing it was sold as a black and gold roadster in February of 1976

- Clear title can be shipped worldwide without issue

- Original mirror with a Honeywell parking pass (Minnesota corporation)

- Original Union ignition key

- Electric Start works

- New battery

- Barnett clutch put in by wheels

- Side stand and center stand are there

- Original Paul Dunstall Decibel Silencers in great condition

- K&N filter (Original black plastic airbox is included)

- Strong engine (Fresh oil. valve adjust)

- Newer tires (Dunlop K81)

- Original Smiths speedo drive and smith gauges still functioning

Current Issues:

- The bike photographs better than reality. meaning you will find expected pitting or scrapes or dings associated with a 40 year old unrestored bike.   Please come see it in person.

- Not all the warning lights in the dash light up

- Original mirror is getting cloudy

- No tool kit

- Fork lock and seat lock are there. but I am not sure if the ignition key fits them

This bike starts on first kick or with estart runs strong through the gears and does not smoke.   Weather has turned so I have not put to many miles on it. but I am riding it and mileage could change a little bit.
