1963 NORTON 650SS BLACK/GREY

A much loved motorcycle that is on a SORN & garaged. It was running beautifully & starting first kick. with its single Amal concentric carb (jetted as per the Mercury) and Lucas racing magneto. before holing the n/s piston on a shakedown run after a winter lay up. I do not have time to repair the bike and my retirement date is receding into the distance so it is time to sell my Norton to someone who could give it a good home. It always drew a crowd in a car park.

It would be an easy task to return the bike to the road as a smart bike & ?ˆ?ride and restore?ˆ™ it. if you wish. or this is perfect timing to use the winter to restore it to show condition.

I spent ??600+ on a rebore. new pistons. new valves & guides etc. back in 2002 and it has had little use since. The Dunlop TT100 tyres look great & have barely any wear.

The Norton Owners Club confirmed the machine was built as a 1963 650SS that was despatched to a dealer in Rotherham on 6. 5. 63.

Sold ?ˆ?as seen?ˆ™ with no warranty as this is a private sale.

Payment will be by cash (in pounds sterling) on collection. unless a specific alternative agreement is made.

The buyer must collect the motorcycle from me within a week of the winning bid.
