A rare 1949 purpose built Norton 500cc Trials bike with an all alloy motor. special low gearing for trials work with a big jump between 3rd and fourth for highway use since these were usually ridden to the trial event. Frame and forks are also modified for trials. Jeff Smith even rode one of these in his early days. The magneto has been rebuilt in the UK a few years back and has a very hot spark! I know that for a fact as it once bit me! The carb was rebuilt by LUND Machine Co. and ticks over like a clock on idle. Speedometer still works! I acquired the Norton from a friend of a friend in Cornwall England back in 2000. I saw it while we were visiting there and made the transaction a little later upon our return to the states. I have some history of the bike while it was campaigned in Cornwall. past owners. photos. news articles of events. a manual with a supplementaryparts list for the 500T. I love this bike. but at 75 years of age its a little much for me and I would like to see someone younger have a go on it! Google Norton 500T to learn of its history. No title but have all the import paper work. n
