1972 750 Norton Commando

Up for auction is my 1972 Norton Commando motorcycle.   This was to be a winter project but I just have too many in front of it so it's

time to let this one go.

I purchased this bike a couple of years ago on Ebay.   I came to me missing the fenders and front caliper.   I was not too concerned as these are readily available

and I prefer the front fender from Norton Colorado anyway.

I tore the bike down for restoration and checked the engine first.   With the head removed. the cylinders look great and the engine rotates fine.   My plan was to split the engine

check the bearings and install new superblend crank bearings.   At this point. only the head has been removed.

Bike is complete except for the items listed as far as I know.   All parts have been stored in undisturbed bins.

Included in the sale is a custom Fuel tank and seat from Evan Wilcox.   The tank is set up with the oil tank in the fuel tank similar to the Norton Colorado set up.

My plan was to custom make an intake and install a 30mm dual throat Weber.   It would make a nice presentation without the side covers. I will also include

a set of custom foot peg mounts and the engine stand.

The transmission looks to be stuck.   I have not opened it up to see why.   These are quite simple to work on and should be opened to install new seals anyway.

I will box the parts according to use and place them in a large cardboard box with the engine bolted to the pallet along with the frame.

Shipping will be by common carrier and freight costs shall be the responsibility of the winning bidder.   I will load from my dock at no additional cost.

Mileage recorded is what is shown on the odometer.   I have no idea if this is accurate.

I can crate and load to the carrier of your choice.   No charge to load to carrier.

I have described the above vehicle to the best or my ability. However. I may have missed something. overlooked something. or not been aware of something due to lack of knowledge about it.  Please study the photos and ask questions.
