1962 Norton Slimline Featherbed

ES2 500 Single

Here is a nice slim-line featherbed Norton currently fitted with a superb running ES2 500 single engine. but may be ideal for building a Triton or even a Manx replica.

It has Norton Roadholder forks. alloy mudguards and it has lovely Borrani Alloy Rims.

The frame itself was registered in 1976 but declared manufactured in 1962. The engine is a 500 single from the 50’s I think and has  good clear engine and frame number.

Don’t miss this. ideal basis for a cafe racer hybrid or with a spruce up you can use as is. It runs lovely and is an easy starter. goes through the gears well and all the brakes work as they should.

It needs a battery so none of the electrics have been checked but. everything appears to be there. and runs fine without the battery.

The bike comes with it V5 logbook. currently on sorn and has a non-transferable 6 figure reg number.

You’ll see it starts easily. runs really well and ticks over nicely. sounding great.

As said everything works as it should. so I would imagine it should easily pass the  MOT fairly easily.

Before all the nut and bolt counters start saying the engine isn’t the right one for this bike. it is what is. and is sold as a good running project. that needs paintwork refreshing or use as a basis for a special.
