Description

Another one  for you Bultaco collectors. this time a Bultaco Mercurio 155GT which I think is probably from 1974 as it has quite an early frame number. This must surely be quite an unusual machine in the UK and if it is as good as everything else Bultaco made then it should be a pretty good bike to use on the road. This one looks a bit drab as somebody has painted it a horrible grey colour but it should look a lot brighter in its original orange paint ( see photo of original sales brochure). The bike looks to be pretty much complete and original and the engine turns over nicely and smoothly with reasonable compression and I have no doubt that with a carb clean it will fire right up!. I have not attempted to start it myself as I do not want to petrol in the tank as it is made of glass fibre or some sort of plastic which as you may know does not get on well with modern poor quality petrol so it could really do with sealing first to prevent damaging the tank. The machine has matching frame and engine numbers and has been in Spain all its life but does not come with any documents so you will need to go through the registration process to register in the UK. I will provide a bill of sale of course. Some basic specs of the bike are as follows. 47. 7cc two stroke engine8hp5 speed gearboxweight 95kgcruising speed 62mph75" longThe first photo of the orange Bultaco is purely for reference. it is a catalogue picture and not a photo of the actual bike for sale! Please take note that this bike is not currently in the UK and is actually in France but will be delivered to the UK a bit later this month. I have not planned a delivery route yet as I have several bikes to list and sell. owever I will include delivery to you included in the sale price if you live in the south east or midlands areas of the UK but if you are in another area please email me with your postcode so we can work something out. Of course you are welcome to collect from my address in France ( near Bordeaux). Obviously being a motocross bike there are no reg documents with this machine. I would like a ?100 deposit via paypal to conclude the deal which will be non refundable if you pull out at the last minute! It costs me this to advertise the bike and get it to the UK and I dont want any bikes left in the van on the return journey as the van will return with a back load so the idea is to put off the time wasters of this world of which there seem to be many and quite a few using this site!! I am a serious person so would appreciate that you are the same.
