Fantic 200 Trials Bike

Backwards kick for those who know their Fantics

Built in 1982 with verification form Bill Pye. The bike is in very good condition but with the normal trials related scratches and marks. The tank has a plastic cover because I prefer a gloss looking tank to the standard dull look. The cover can easily be removed if you would like to put it back to standard.

There is some pitting at the top of the forks (see image) below the bottom yoke but this does not cause the fork seals to leak.

Modifications

·        A flat sided OKO carb is fitted to give an improved power delivery. I have the original carb and it will go with the bike.

·        Foot peg position is lowered and set further back.

·        Wide foot pegs

·        Rear shocks are not standard but I am not sure what make they are. I was told by the previous owner they are set up with medium springs. I have a set of soft springs which will go with bike.

Recent new parts

·        Carb hose

·        Airbox Hose

·        Rear wheel bearings

·        Swinging arm bearings

·        Throttle cable

These are very capable bikes and do very well at classic twinshock trials meetings. Some say they can be under powered but it has never had a problem pulling my 13. 5stone body up some very steep slops. No work needed to do for its next trial. just petrol and go.

I am only selling because I don’t have time to ride. There is no buy it now price and if it doesn’t make the starting price I will keep it and do a full nut and bolt rebuild.
