Description

I have for sale this sad little 1954 Magnat Debon  MT4 125cc motorbike. I acquired this bike as part of a large collection of bikes in the Bordeaux area. It has been stored for many years and sadly during its time in storage as been robbed of a number of engine parts.   What remains of the engine is also seized. I would say the best way forward if you wanted to restore this bike would be to find a good engine and I am happy to help with this. Alternatively it would be suitable for a workshop ornament.

Magnat Debon was an independent French motorbike manufacturer  formed in 1900 in Grenoble. The company became part of the much larger Terrot company during the 1930`s. The name lived on until 1962 but for many years the name was just used as a badge engineering project. This bike is identical to the Terrot ETD of the same period. This obviously helps for parts location.

Please be aware this bike needs lots of work but the rolling chassis is just about complete and it could be restored.   A cheap project for a brave restorer!

Please note that the bike is at present in the town of Chabris in the Indre (36) department of central France. For a price of ?40 I can arrange delivery to the Worthing area straight after the end of the auction. Alternatively you are welcome to come to France to collect the bike and I will offer  the winning bidder one nights free accommodation in our B&B included in the purchase price.

Payment is by cash on collection. Any questions please email me or call from the UK on 00 33 254051245.
