Up for auction is a Montesa you don't see come up for sale very often. This is a 1978 H6 360cc enduro. This Spanish work of art is Montesa's answer to the Bultaco Frontera. I prefer the Montesa for asthetics. and you can't argue with their attention to detail. This is a matching numbers Montesa. The gas tank is held on by 3 rubber straps and is removable in a matter of seconds. This bike still has the original straps and they feature the stylized Montesa "M"The seat is held on by a receptacle on the frame and another of the straps triggers a release. No bolts to lose. The left sidepanel is held on by three large screws and gives great access to the air filter. This bike is still on the Spanish Pirelli tires. It still has the rubber countershaft cover that is beautifully designed. The alloy levers are original and in great condition. and are protected by the neat Montesa dust covers. The seat cover is original and the seat is very comfortable. The bike has the original Telesco shocks which still have dampening. The original Akront rims still have the decals. The engine sounds amazing and is very powerful without being pipey. You will want to ride this bike. The cases are protected by neat loops on the frame and there is another loop by the seat to help you lift the bike. Negatives? Not many really. The tank has obviously been repainted and not a great job at that. but there are no leaks. The silencer is very quiet but does have some rash on the inside where a rock got between the tire and canister. The rear Pirelli is somewhat worn. There is no kill switch. I would not ride this bike without one! This is a Powerful bike and will go very fast. The carb should be cleaned and adjusted to your elevation. It should also have another clamp on the intake side. A new throttle cable would be good insurance as well. The fork springs seem to have some sag. but I am not sure how much they had when new. For parts. there is a great company in the Phoenix area called SouthWest Montesa. and they can get anything you need. There were 4. 00 Montesa model 67M's made. of which this is one. This is your chance to own one while they are still somewhat affordable. This is a NO RESERVE E-Bay auction with a low starting price. Have fun bidding. This bike can be restored to glory or ridden right now with just a day's work. Good luck bidding. Bill of sale only. no warranty as this bike is more than three decades old. 150. 00 deposit by PPal within 24 hours of the auction end. The balnce by bank cashiers check or money order within 5 days. I can hold this bike up to 3 weeks in a locked garage for your shipper to pick up. We are located in Missoula MT - right off interstate 90.
