Royal Enfield Model A 1934 225cc Classic Vintage Veteran 99p Start, No Reserve

This model A has been thoroughly restored a few years ago. extensive work was carried out including:-  new wheels. tyres and tubes. the wheels were fitted with new modern bearings. the forks were rebuilt. petrol tank was professionally painted and a lovely job it is too. correct style mudguards were made. a new wiring loom fitted. mag dynamo rebuilt. it is fitted with the correct flat glass headlamp. the bike charges and all the lights work. the engine and gearbox have been rebuilt and all new bearings fitted. a really  nice was done and the pictures don't do it justice. the day was a bit murky.   the only thing not correct. I believe. is the carburettor which I think is off a Douglas.   Regarding the carburettor I have an article from the Old Bike Mart of a few years ago and it describes the rebuild of one of these bikes. and. the way they got over a missing carburettor was by fitting one off a D1 Bantam .   This OBM copy will go with the bike.

The above information was given to me by the chap I bought it off. nbsp; he seems a very genuine chap and has many old bikes and cars. nbsp; a lot of the work he says he did himself but. the clever stuff was done professionally.   The bike has not been run for possibly a year or so. and I have not heard it run. nor have I tried to start it.   the information above I have relayed in good faith. the bike looks a beauty. but. I have no way of knowing to what standard the work has been done. or if it was done at all. nbsp; therefore the bike is being sold as a project. starting at 99p and NO RESERVE  !!!!!!!!!!!  Please don't be put off by this. feel free to ask any question or better still come to view. full inspection of the bike is encouraged. nbsp;  the bike is in Macclesfield. nbsp; I have the V5c in my name. and delivery UK mainland is possible.
