We will issue you a registration number on purchase so that you can take out insurance instantly on your scooter. We will take the paperwork to the DVLA on your behalf and the process is completed in days. This will cost you the following:

The need for insurance

You need at least third party insurance to ride a scooter and it is your responsibility to take out cover:

Third Party is the cheapest as you're only covered for injuries or damage you do to others or their property. Fire and Theft covers your scooter being set on fire or stolen (and gives cover for third parties). Fully Comprehensive is the most expensive option but covers repairs to your scooter after an accident even if no other parties were involved.

The scooter has a 12 Months warranty. this excludes but not limited to cables. lights. tyres. plastics fairings and serviceable items from date of delivery to you provided your scooter has not been used for business use and full service history can be provided showing the correct servicing intervals as stated in your handbook. Warranty cannot be transferred to another person. Servicing should be carried out by a motorcycle servicing depot as per the handbook. If a claim is made proof of servicing will be required. We have the right to give the scooter a full inspection to determine any tampering or mis-use. 1st service must be carried out at 300km which involves an oil change. Motorbike Madness (UK) Ltd will not be liable for servicing cost. Full service schedule is included in the delivery pack under the seat. Warranty is valid provided the scooter has had the necessary service schedules. Customer to retain proof of servicing for inspection. The scooter should not have been subjected to abuse. modifications. competition riding or commercial use.
