1956 Matchless G45 Road Racer

Very rare G45. Al Gunter history. 1 of 10 Special coded G45 /G/9. This is the first of the 10. with Al Gunter # 230. These were Special ordered by the Matchless Distributer to sneak around the AMA. withe the bike was represented as a G/9 road bike. but were really full blown Factory G45 Racers. The engine was rebuilt by Ed Crowell and has never been run. The bike last came from the ( Michael Taggart Collection in 2011. I apologize for listing Ed Crowell as diseased. Sorry Ed. It was Tom Rightmeyer that replicated the manifolds. tank strap and foot pegs. My friend Richard Klatt did the restoration with the help of his friends Crowell and Rightmeyer.
