Cotton Pre-65 trials bike. Similar to Greeves, Dot & James

Pre-65 Cotton trials motorcycle. Similar to Greeves. Dot and James.

The bike is not road registered so there is no documentation but it is understood that it is a 1965/66 period. The bike is in very clean condition and is offered as an honest ride-able trials bike.

250 cc Villiers engine.   4-speed gearbox.

Villiers carburettor and air filter

Metal Profile front forks. There is some pitting on the stanchions. particularly the left hand side which we show on the photos.

Full width alloy British Hubs. front and rear.   Dunlop chrome rims which may not be good enough for a show bike but are considered to be good condition for a working trials bike.

Front tyre has sharp tread blocks. the rear has blocks rounded by wear. See photos.

Renthal braced alloy handlebars.   Alloy levers.   Standard straight pull throttle.

Fibreglass fuel tank which is in excellent condition.

Alloy mudguards and alloy rear chain guard.

Mike has owned the bike for about three years but has ridden it only once and then only briefly around a car park (Mikes interest has been on scrambling rather than trials).  The engine was stated by the previous owner as having been rebuilt but Mike has never stripped the engine so cannot comment on its internal specification or condition.

Payment is by paypal or. preferably. by 10% deposit by paypal with the balance in cash upon collection. Cheques are welcome for the balance but please allow seven working days from Mikes receipt for irrevocable cheque clearance before collecting the bike. BACS transfer is most welcome.

Delivery is listed as collection only. If you need a local delivery then this may be possible. please ring Mike to agree this before bidding.
