Montesa VR 250 1973 straight fin early model

Rare straight fin Montesa VR 250. Restored with lots of New Old Stock parts. I have the original statement of origin. and owners manual. The photos show no chain. but one will be supplied. The motor was completely disassembled. and checked over. New bearings. seals. gaskets. case screw O-rings. The transmission was excellent. the crank was also excellent. Piston is on first oversize. and was not changed because of availability at the time. The pipe was professionally restored. and a NOS pickle muffler installed. as well as a NOS hanger. Other NOS parts include a countershaft sprocket. kick lever. grips with Montesa logo. seat cover. tank decals. cables. side stand. rear shock seals and oil. The fork gaitors were never used. but after only a few months. one split. I put this together for show purposes. but the Montesa I race is identical. except for the wrinkle fin cylinder. These are fast. and handle very much like a Maico. stable. but able to turn sharp. I restored this mainly for show. and it was originally purchased by a friend of the family that rode for Montesa back in the 1960's and early 70's. $250 Paypal deposit within 48 hours. and the remainder to be paid in 7 days.
